Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-OH) Dies of Aneurysm at 58
Fox News Alert | 08-20-08 | Fox News Live

Posted on 08/20/2008 11:14:54 AM PDT by KJC1

U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress, died Wednesday evening at a Cleveland area hospital after suffering an aneurysm.

Tubbs Jones, 58, chaired the House Ethics Committee and was one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest supporters during the Democratic primaries.

The liberal Democrat, first elected in 1998, suffered a brain hemorrhage while driving her car in Cleveland Heights Tuesday night, said Dr. Gus Kious, president of Huron Hospital. He said the “very serious” hemorrhage was caused by an aneurysm that burst in an inaccessible part of her brain.

Her death was announced late Wednesday in a statement from the family, Huron Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic. They said she died at 6:12 p.m.

Yes, she was a superdelegate.

Rest in peace, Ms. Jones. I agreed with you about very little, but on a human level, I’m so sorry this happened to you and I pray for your family and others who loved you.

Again, I lament the fact that we are required to kiss Teddy’s fat sub-human murdering ass because of our Christian values (at least that’s what I was told at the time) but we laugh at dead shoplifters.

Maybe I'm tilting at the wrong windmill...perhaps I should first establish if 'Christian values' even hold any sway with you. If your purpose is merely just to 'bash Christians for the hypocrites they all must be', then we can at least dispense with the intermediate strawmen.

Otherwise, I'm still not sure what Teddy Kennedy's cancer has to do with someone else's absurdly ironic (and therefore humorous) death, but you DO keep going there...methinks you suffer from an 'irony deficiency'.

Who’s joking about a death? Not me.

Certainly about misfortune, though...but if death is the only misfortune that can't be joked about, I'll make a careful note of your rules.

This thread and the responses disgusts me too.

Me too, but we're probably not talking about the same ones.

She was the woman who watched Matthews tear that state Senator a new one that he didn’t know what Obama accomplished.

Even though this woman stands against all we hold dear and true, only prayers and sympathies for her family are offered.

Of course. Most of us are followers of Christ. Christ loves Tubbs-Jones as much as he loves any of us. He went to the cross for her as well as us. I hope she knew Christ.

My aunt, who was about 68 at the time was driving a motor home on a vacation when someone hit her. They took her to the hospital and did a CT scan on her. They found an aneurysm. When she got back home, they did the procedure you mentioned on her. Now about 6-7 years later, she is still fine. She goes out with her boyfriend polka dancing almost every weekend.

Mr. Mumblypants or whatever seems to have finally departed...I wonder if it’s merely a ‘time-out’, or a full zot...

My sympathy to her family.

My niece's husband collapsed at work a few months ago from an aneurysm. Fortunately he survived and is ok now.
