DON'T STOP FOLKS!!
JUST SAY NO TO GANGS!!
Congressman John R Carter of Texas says Gang of 10 a "Bad Deal"
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed a total lack of our "Establishment Media/Misinformation Socialist Monarchy" reporting on the price of gas and food for the past 2 weeks?
New FTC Rule Could Apply To Pelosi
After reading this post I decided to pull up her financial disclosure report and look for any other natural gas producers. On 11/8/07, she purchased between $250,001 and $500,000 of Quest Energy Partners, LP. (see pages 12 and 18). According to its site (http://qelp.publishpath.com), The Partnership owns more than 2,300 wells and is the largest producer of natural gas in the Cherokee Basin, which is located in southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma and holds a drilling inventory of nearly 2,100 locations.
Either she is so arrogant to think that nobody would find out that she is profiting by holding up new drilling and refining initiatives or she thinks nobody can touch her.
Has anybody checked Harry The Body Reids financial disclosure form? Id say check Obamas too but he hasnt done anything but give speeches.
BEHOLD the Power of the People, and the Power of
Nancy: "most open, most honest, and most ethical Congress in history"
Nancy: "and Democrats promise to work together in a bi-partisan way for all Americans."
What is the truth about Nancy?
"Madam Speaker has a substantial amount of money invested in Clean Energy Fuels Corporation." dontgo
From the same article:
"Only 20% of Americans now oppose offshore drilling.." Rasmussen
We have THREE DEMANDS for both the House AND the Senate! (call both House and Senate offices)
1) Congress MUST STOP PROTECTING Nancy's purse, get back to Washington, DC and vote on the American Energy Act!
2) Begin an IMMEDIATE investigation into CLNE, Pelosi, and other investors!
3) Demand that the Broadcaster Freedom Act be brought to the floor for a vote!
MELT THE LINES TODAY FOLKS!!!
As for the Gang of 10.
I had several conversations with these offices yesterday. They NEED to hear from us.
WE WANT THE BOEHNER BILL!
1) The House (Republican and Dem) has heard the people and know that this is the bill we want.
2) The Senate (this may be a surprise to some) actually represents the EXACT same people the House does! (amazing isn't it)
3) PREGO! yes, PREGO! It's in there! Boehner's Bill includes renewables, solar, wind, nuclear, AND drilling.
4) We don't want "something done" for the sake of "getting something done." WE WANT A SOLUTION!
5) If ANYTHING needs to added to the Boehner bill it is this, we need to allow drilling without interference of baseless lawsuits from anti-progress, anti-independence yahoos.
6) If BOEHNER'S BILL is not able to pass the Senate- then let the PEOPLE see that the Republicans offered solutions, and the Dems BAWKED!
7) If nothing gets passed-- well, the sunset on the congressional moretoreum will expire and then.......
LET THE DRILLING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!

Politics, not principles, behind Pelosi's turnabout on oil drilling (WORTHLESS NAN FEELS THE PINCH!)
"Never let it be said that Nancy Pelosi isn't principled. Actually, her main principle seems to be that when politics dictate, give up the principles and go with the politics...
There's nothing like a dose of political reality to move a politician. For years, Pelosi has been catering to a California constituency that was adamantly opposed to using coastal water exploration to help lessen the nation's dependency on foreign oil, citing dire threats to the environment despite technology that has prevented most such occurrences elsewhere. Their argument against drilling included the contention that it would take a decade to realize any real benefit from drilling. As a result Congress did what Congress does best, it dithered for at least two decades as the amount of domestically produced oil declined and usage increased.
Pelosi said she wanted a bill that would combine any drilling with a release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to immediately lower gasoline prices and action to decrease speculation in energy futures. Tapping the oil reserve has been roundly criticized as a patch on the problem that in the past has produced little benefit beyond a few pennies at the gas pump..."
BTTT!
Checking in.
Do we have a current list of the reps who have been or are on the floor of the house?
“Also, Recent news, Tuesday night, is that TrueBlackMan has had a set back and will be in the hospital a little longer than expected. Keep the prayers coming.
On the lighter side, TBM says that he only has CNN to watch, so also pray that he keeps his sanity and his sense of humor. :-))”
See that, personal testimony that CNN makes people sick!
We need to get Fox News in there somehow! Any techies out there to the rescue? Kevin, you must be going thru Free Republic withdrawal! We’re all praying you’ll be home soon!

Following todays press conference (images below and on our Flickr photostream)Leader Boehner spoke to
***hundreds of Americans gathered on the House floor ***
on the need for the all of the above approach that is contained in the American Energy Act:
First I want to tell you why were here. Republican members have a plan to help bring down high gas prices. Unfortunately, the Speaker has refused to allow a vote on our comprehensive all of the above plan. Were not asking her to pass it, just let us have a vote.
70% of our oil comes from other countries because Democrats in Congress have walled-off drilling for oil in the outer-continental-shelf and oil shale in the inner-mountain West.
Our plan is simple: all of the above. That means more conservation, biofuels, renewables like wind and solar, as well as increasing American energy production.
Talk to your member of Congress to find out where they stand on all of the above and the American Energy Act.

House Republicans are gathering for the fourteenth day of their historic protest on behalf of American families and small businesses struggling with out-of-control energy prices.
Today Republican Leader Boehner will once again join his colleagues to demand that Speaker Nancy Pelosi end Congresss five-week break and schedule a vote on the American Energy Act (H.R. 6566).
There will be an 11 a.m. press conference today after which members will proceed to the floor of the House to continue speaking directly to the American people on the need for a comprehensive all of the above solution that increases American energy production while encouraging the use of renewable energy sources and promoting conservation.

Boehner to Dems: 'Put up or shut up'
House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) advised pro-drilling House Democrats to put up or shut up during a press conference Wednesday morning.
Today the Republican leaders in the House are sending a letter to 22 of our Democratic colleagues [who] say they want more energy yet they continue to vote with Speaker Pelosi to block our all of the above' plan, said Boehner, who joined his GOP colleagues for the second time during the now three-week-long energy protest.
They cant have it both ways. Either they are for more energy and vote that way or they are not, and we are basically calling on them to put up or shut up, make sure you are saying the same thing at home that you are saying in Washington, D.C., and reminding them that actions speak louder than words.
In the letter, House Republican leaders called on the Democrats to join them in asking Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to bring the House back into session to deal with the energy crisis and support the Republican American Energy Act.
If Speaker Pelosi refuses to reconvene the House, we ask that you put your support for increased American energy in writing, the letter said. Sign the discharge petitions House Republicans are circulating that will force votes on energy legislation Speaker Pelosi refuses to bring to the floor.
The letter was sent largely to freshman Democratic members, many of whom are facing tough races in the fall.
Recipients include Reps:
Jason Altmire (Pa.), Nancy Boyda (Kan.), Chris Carney (Pa.)
Don Cazayoux (La.), Travis Childers (Miss.), Lincoln Davis (Tenn.)
Bill Foster (Ill.), Gabrielle Giffords (Ariz.), Baron Hill (Ind.)
Steve Kagen (Wis.), Paul Kanjorski (Pa.), Tim Mahoney (Fla.)
Jim Marshall (Ga.), Jerry McNerney (Calif.), Harry Mitchell (Ariz.)
Dennis Moore (Kan.), Chris Murphy (Conn.), Patrick Murphy (Pa.)
Carol Shea-Porter (N.H.), Zack Space (Ohio)
Tim Walz (Minn.) and John Yarmuth (Ky.).
