Following todays press conference (images below and on our Flickr photostream)Leader Boehner spoke to
***hundreds of Americans gathered on the House floor ***
on the need for the all of the above approach that is contained in the American Energy Act:
First I want to tell you why were here. Republican members have a plan to help bring down high gas prices. Unfortunately, the Speaker has refused to allow a vote on our comprehensive all of the above plan. Were not asking her to pass it, just let us have a vote.
70% of our oil comes from other countries because Democrats in Congress have walled-off drilling for oil in the outer-continental-shelf and oil shale in the inner-mountain West.
Our plan is simple: all of the above. That means more conservation, biofuels, renewables like wind and solar, as well as increasing American energy production.
Talk to your member of Congress to find out where they stand on all of the above and the American Energy Act.

House Republicans are gathering for the fourteenth day of their historic protest on behalf of American families and small businesses struggling with out-of-control energy prices.
Today Republican Leader Boehner will once again join his colleagues to demand that Speaker Nancy Pelosi end Congresss five-week break and schedule a vote on the American Energy Act (H.R. 6566).
There will be an 11 a.m. press conference today after which members will proceed to the floor of the House to continue speaking directly to the American people on the need for a comprehensive all of the above solution that increases American energy production while encouraging the use of renewable energy sources and promoting conservation.
