“ ...a fool with energy is a nightmare".

Jimmy Carter's 16 hour workdays come to mind...

He is a flake, but he’s a flake who wants power. He may not do much with it when he gets it, but if you look at his “decisions” and the peculiar course of his life, you can see that they all were calculated to do one thing only: Get Barry to the top of the heap.

He has no ideas of his own and the radical leftist positions he has imbibed from his mentors are so extreme that he would have to work hard to convince anyone in the real world to accept them. Barry doesn’t want to work hard at anything; he just wants to be king of the hill.

I have often wondered what is a Harvard law school grad doing working as a community organizer? Why didn’t he work as a lawyer and who pays one to be a community organizer and what does it pay? When I was in college we had a wide range of fields to study but community organizer wasn’t one of them.

I'm not sure that ‘flake” is a term I would use to describe the Obamessiah. To me, flakes are, among other things, unreliable. One thing about Obama is he is NOT unreliable. Above all else, we can rely on his naked obsession with power and the need to gain power for the sake of his handlers and ‘shadow puppet masters’ who want to destroy America.

I'm not sure that the Obamessiah would have even selected the path he is currently following. To me, he lacks the innate drive to have made these choices for himself but, rather, appears to be someone whose choices have been made for him for a VERY long time. IOW, he is beginning more and more to appear to be the quintessential “Manchurian Candidate”.

There are too many nagging questions about his origins and his publicly acknowledged history is cloudy at best. His failure (or outright refusal) to address these issues and put them to rest is troubling, to say the least.

In the late 70s, the Dems gave us one of the most indisputably inept presidents in recent memory and, perhaps, ever. In 2008, they are giving us a candidate that could easily wrest that title away from Jimmuh without breaking a sweat.

A flake, I get it. I also happen to think he is the closest thing to evil I have seen in my lifetime running for POTUS....

The trick is understanding that this is not a perfect world. There is no such thing as a perfect decision or course of action; just better and worse ones. All will have some downside even if only marginally perceptible, and even less effective decisions can generally be understood if the person making them can explain and justify their reason(s) for the choice(s) that they made.

The problem with Obummer is that he has absolutely NO real world experience on which he can base his decisions, and I'm sure his campaign staff has spent many long nights coming up with explanations for some of his choices so they sound reasoned and principled.

God help us if this man is elected.

Obama is a flake!
Not quite the word Jackie Mason would use, but still a bull’s eye! So very few people nowadays will come forward to shoot a single arrow at a proper target.
But it isn’t just Obama’s positions in this race, or what he said on this issue or that, or even his scanty resume or his malodorous associations.
It’s himself. He’s a flake.

"Barack Obama will lose because he is a flake. I'm using the term in its generally accepted sense. A flake is not only a screwup, but someone who truly excels in making bizarre errors and creating incredibly convoluted disasters. A flake is a "fool with energy", as the Russian proverb puts it. ("A fool is a terrible thing to have around, but a fool with energy is a nightmare".) Barack Obama is a flake, and the American people have begun to see it. The chief characteristic of a flake is that he makes choices that are impossible to either understand or explain. "

The positive side of this is the opportunity for a teaching moment, defining the liberal flake as a psychological type along with the social disasters which ensure when he is given power.

But there seems to be a combination of the New Age flake with the traditional jinx. Sort of like Cousin Oliver in The Brady Bunch. You just never know what he is going to try to do or say next. Carter was a bit like this.

This is waaaaaaaaaay funny. After reading it, the thought came to me that Obambi even makes Hucksterbee, biggest buffoon in the Republican slate, look presidential by comparison.

Barry Soetoro-Obama is imploding. Little by little, he is melting into a heap of self-centered media hype. He's wanted to be "president" since he was in Primary School in Indonesia. It was in Indonesia where he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro (1965-66), became an Indonesian Citizen, and, as an adult, used that birth certificate to obtain a Passport to go visit his mother in Indonesia and someone in Pakistan. All without any comprehension that his actions would be called into account if he did indeed run for President of the USofA.

Most stable rational people who have a long term goal set up a plan of action which will bring them to that goal with all the necessary education, experiences, contacts, etc. Barry Soetoro-Obama somehow missed that part of his education. All he knew was he wanted to be President. But he failed to count the cost. He has tried to achieve his goal without first building character traits worthy of that goal.

Who are Barry Soetoro-Obama's non-political friends? I daresay, he has none. Maybe a handful. But I doubt that anyone Soetoro-Obama would list is someone who could not help him politically. On the other hand, John McCain has people who are just "sit around the table and talk a while" friends who can do nothing for him politically."

Let me pose this question: Who would you prefer to come over to your house to sit around your kitchen table, drink your iced tea, and just chew the fat?

Barry O' smug mug . . . or . . . Photobucket

Evidently, the campaign goaded NBC news personality Andrea Mitchell into all but accusing John McCain of "cheating" by failing to take his place within the "cone of silence" during Obama's part of the program. The grotesque element here is that Obama's people and much of the liberal commentariat -- including Mitchell -- apparently believe that the "cone of silence", a gag prop for the old Get Smart! comedy series, actually exists and was in use at Saddleback.

Actually, I think Senator McCain got updates on his shoephone....

Or did he have Larrabee stashed under the desk, forwarding him a transcript of Rick Warren's questions...

Or did he have Hymie the robot in the audience transmitting him a feed....

Many of us have dealt with flakes at one time or another, often in settings involving jobs and careers, and not uncommonly in positions of some authority.

In the early days of my current program, both the Program Manager and the Assistant Program Manager were like this: calling weekend work parties to generate spreadsheets and reports that had no meaning and contributed nothing to any tangible progress. Once they left we were able to get some things done!

Great article, the best description I have seen yet.

We just need some Buttons or bumper stickers, just show a CORNFLAKE over the one's name.

It just occurred to me - Barack Obama has an Easy Button. He apparently got a hold of an early prototype before Staples even existed.

Or maybe he stole it from Dr. Who.
