In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.
McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

Why have Rasmussen numbers not moved along with the rest of the polls? He still ahows Mccain behind in his daily tracking. Strange ! ???
You know what happened. The euphoria that swept through the the Republican electorate as it seems to be on these threads may, just may, be too soon.
The election will end at night on the second Tuesday in November—that's the time to relax.
Keep on plugging now and everyday.
very interesting...
After Obama loses the left wing will no longer pick the candidate. The dems will come to their senses and choose a military man with a conservative background. That man will be Senator Jim Webb of Virginia.
You’re right about the stadium speech. A similar event by the Bushitler would have already invoked comparisons to Leni Riefenstahl’s work. Triumph of the Change!
Cripes, Obama has already addressed the ObamaJugend in front of one of the Father Lands victory statues. Not a whiff from the left about the inherent fascism of addressing the heirs of the actual Hitler!!
They ARE freaking out. Fractures are appearing over their BO selection...some saying Hillary had what it takes for a street fight and BO does not.
They are genuinely disheartened by the latest polling trends...but the MAJORITY are convinced the "One" will pull it out in the end.
They are afraid of the GOP...tactically...in an election. They consider the GOP MASTERS of communication, and thereby manipulation, of the "dumb/stupid" electorate.
These polls are driving them crazy.
“I wish this had happened later as Hillary’s people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation. “
actually that would be ideal as all the obama people would go crazy
The only pollster that does anything close to that is Gallup in some of their polls. Virtually everyone else adjusts the numbers for several demographic variables including party affiliation.
He loses by putting Hitlery on the ticket - I have an aunt who told me that was just about the only way he would lose her vote.
“Michelle Obama is headed to Hollywood to court gay and lesbian support. Tom Ford is among the expected co-hosts of a Sept. 3 benefit at the home of CAA agent Bryan Lourd. The same night, she’ll head over to Samuel L. Jackson’s place for another fund-raiser, reports WilshireandWashington.com.”

Since two Hillary superdelegates have keeled over in the last week...methinks Obama’s gonna make sure that doesn’t happen...
So you’re saying Obama is a bubble?
I really do not see Obama even having a chance in FL or Indiana, and as it looks now McCain will win all those states.
Before it’s all said and done, I think McCain also wins PA, MI, NH, and a couple surprise states.
The “exit polls” will say Obama won, because that’s what the media-controlled pollsters want. If even 40% of eligible voters vote for Obama, it will be a sad statement about public ignorance and lack of appreciation for capitalism and freedom.
