REST ASSURED, Philadelphia. Come Election Day, there will be street money. According to U.S. Rep. Bob Brady, the local Democratic Party chairman, Sen. Barack Obama's general-election presidential campaign in Philadelphia will be run different from his primary operation, which relied more on volunteers than on Democratic ward leaders and did not provide street money on Election Day.
"We're not going to pay for votes or pay for turnout," Obama said before the Pennsylvania primary.

I was a little disappointed that the article did not have a comment from the McCain camp regarding this.
Democrat ward leaders? They’re usually called ward heelers, from the command “Heel!” given to a dog. They are often euphemized as Community Activists these days. Like Obama was in Chicago.

The problem is that these “voters” are requesting more money. They see this as a chance to get “paid” for their loyalty. But if they don’t get paid, they don’t vote.
The Democrats have found it cheaper to just pay the precinct judges to vote for people. That’s why Democrat areas have such high voting percentages. If you drop a $1000 on a judge, you can get a lot more votes. But the judges aren’t coming cheap these days.
FINALLY he’s found an area where he actually has some experience!!! A Community Activist buying votes.
Interesting. He wouldn’t give out street money in Philly when he ran against Hillary. When it comes to running against a Republican, he’s not quite as “principled” as he pretended to be in the primaries.

They will have to increase the turnout from 110% to 140%.
Try to find a homeless person on Election Day. They will be in various halls and gyms being fed and waiting to man the Buses. There will be at least 110 to 120% voters in some precincts. If Brady says he needs to win Philly by 500,000 he will win by 500,001.

....yep, and the Dems also give the NAACP $800,000 a year...that buys them the voting apparatus of major urban areas.
