The muslims where I work believe he is and they are rooting for him. I don't think it's because of his stand on any issues.
Don’t quote Snopes on a fact unless you independently verify it. They make mistakes and have biases that cause them to make some of them.

The more and more I read of this and his dysfunctional background I wonder, really wonder what his childhood was like.
Everything is pointing to great amounts of trauma. Things happening for which he really had no control. Kids in those situations do all kinds of things to cope. They create invisible friends or even whole lives. Sometimes this develops into full blown schizophrenia or as adults they deal with PTSD. Either way it becomes nearly impossible to separate fact and fiction of their childhood. They as adults become consummate liars about their past. And will have flawed discretionary abilities. Sometimes they go on to become overachievers in order to cover up their past. Which I think Obama has done. A past he doesn't want to look at too closely and a past he doesn't want us to unveil. Sure he was registered as a muslim, but we know not what force/abuse was extracted upon him to ensure his islamic background.
What is fatal to them, even if they overachieve, is they still can't function in society. They have one or several personality disorders. In the case of an overachiever from a dysfunctional background they often struggle with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. If Obama has never dealt with his ‘issues’ and all indications are he hasn't...he is unfit at the present time to be President.
