A Detroit Emergency Medical Technicians union grievance hearing abruptly ended this morning because his attorney refused to stop tape recording the proceeding.
The hearing was to address the firing of Detroit EMT Doug Bayer, who is suing the City of Detroit, Fire Department Commissioner Tyrone Scott, and other supervisors. Bayer accuses the department of terminating him because he spoke to the media and the Michigan State Police about what he says he knows about the alleged Manoogian Mansion party.

I’m not big on Unions, but damn right they have a RIGHT to have a record of the hearing.
Read the article folks. The headline does not tell what the story is really about.
This reeks to high heaven of corruption!
Black Democrat politicians haven’t come off looking too good of late. Notice how you don’t hear much about corrupt Black Republican politicians? Better morals, I’ld say.
Elect gangsters and here is the result:
“It has long been rumored that the mayors wife, Carlita Kilpatrick, assaulted stripper Tamara Greene at a party at the Manoogian Mansion. Greene has since been murdered. Her family is suing the city of Detroit for allegedly thwarting the investigation into her death. Attorney Norman Yatooma also represents Greenes family.”
He should see an ENT doctor and an audiologist immediately.
"Manoogian Mansion party whistleblower" should have been in the headline.
This guy and his former EMT partner will be lucky if they don’t turn up dead....................
Tip of an ugly iceberg there...
“Eyes Wide Shut” was art imitating life. In the movie, witnesses were killed and intimidated, plus general plausible denial by supposedly responsible parties that the “party” happened.
"What party are you a member of? Republican? Democrat?"
I'm a proud card carrying member of the Manoogian Mansion party!
Groan!
Murdered! wow, your dear Kwamie is quite the thug eh?!!
Both of them? Well one is in the news as possibly giving a talk at Obama's corination in Denver (Powell). The other one is on vacation.
At what point can Kwame's toadies be charged with crimes as well?
The corrupt mayor is costing the struggling city many millions in settlements and legal fees.
Even if you believe his supporters that tank about how helpful his programs have been, there's no way he can have had a net positive effect.
He and what appears to be a long list of his supporters need to go to jail for their illegal acts. That includes some of the city lawyers that have been representing his interests and hiding what he has done from the city council. They need to be disbarred and tossed in jail with him. If they can't represent him and the city, then they need to refuse to represent him on the city's dime, and he needs to hire his own lawyers.
bump
LIke it or not, most courts do not allow recording devices, including cell phones with cameras, in the courtroom. There’s a monopoly by court reporters that’s always bothered me, but them’s the rules and his lawyer damned well knew it.
Darn right! I stood too close to my brother firing a shotgun and my hearing ended abruptly, too. Although, it did come back.
Ummm it wasn’t a court from what I heard. It was a hearing, and not in a court. I might be wrong. Oh well.
” I work there. This is just another Kwame ruse.”
Okay, you’ve intrigued me. What else can you say publicly without getting killed?
PS - I have a hideout in the swamp where they’ll never find you. Detroit city folk are terrified of forests, spirits and night.
