Pelosi: "This Election is Like Death for Life on This Planet as We Know It"
Tuesday, August 12, 2008 | Kristinn

Posted on 08/12/2008 7:25:12 PM PDT by kristinn

Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi painted the outcome of this November's election in irrational, apocalyptic terms during a book tour appearance in Los Angeles last night.

Pelosi was interviewed by Rabbi Robert Wexler of the American School of Judaism in West Los Angeles before a sometimes hostile crowd of leftist agitators who harangued her for her failure to end the war in Iraq and impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

Speaking about the upcoming presidential election between leading candidates Republican John McCain and Democratic Barack Obama, Pelosi let loose with what is may well become her 'Dean scream' moment if camera were present to record it, according to a report by the liberal publication The Public Record:

“Whether it’s the deficit or the challenges to the constitution we have to dig our way out, this election is like death for life on this planet as we know it today."

Pelosi has been under enormous pressure from the right and left during her year-and-a-half tenure as the first woman Speaker of the House. Under her leadership, Congress' approval rating has plummeted to a humiliating nine percent as the budget deficit has exploded, the cost of energy skyrocketed and the housing market imploded. Pelosi was able to minimize the reputation of a do-nothing Congress by implementing the first increase in the minimum wage since the mid- 1990s.

Personally, her feminist book, Know Your Power, has been a miserable failure in bookstores, with only a few thousand copies sold despite a publicity blitz worthy of the most powerful woman in America.

Pelosi has been mocked for her recent interview with The Politico where she adamently described her goal as Speaker: "“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet.”

Pelosi's delusions of grandeur and hysterical ravings about apocalyptic visions could very well cost her the Speakership as Americans look for sane leadership in the upcoming election.

"Death for Life." Woo hoo! That's a winning campaign slogan.

Oh well, at least her book sales won’t kill that many trees.

Never send a woman to do a mans job.

And no I'm not gonna be P.C. - Screw that.

The RNC should do an ad like the Obama “The One” ad using clips of Nancy spouting her delusions. We might pick up a bunch of seats in the house.

I believe that there are some women who are wired for jobs like this...Pelosi is NOT one of them.

This woman is a certifiable lunatic and should be locked up. The “earth” didn’t elect her — her constituents did. And as speaker, she is responsible to the entire nation. She and Kucinich need to get together.

“Whether it’s the deficit...”

Now I know what Lord Keynes meant when he said, “...in the long run, we’re all dead.” It’s finally the long run! Repent!

By the way, does anyone anywhere actually believe there will be no deficit if a Democrat is in the White House? Or will Obama pay for his “5 million new jobs,” etc., by soaking the rich and inflating currrency?

Reread the statement. All she’s saying is not to tell her she didn’t take the oath. She’s not saying she upholds it.

It’s sort of like her “change” on the drilling proposal, she’s offered to allow a vote on it IF it’s in a bill full of completely unacceptable additional proposals. So, it’s a non-offer offer. You just have to get used to “Nan-speak”.

Oh well, at least her book sales won’t kill that many trees.

The trees were killed and the books were printed. They sit in warehouses awaiting shipment...to San Francisco where they will be bought by school districts and made required reading by age 12...the intellect for which it was written.

“Death for Life” sounds like a pro-abortion slogan.

Nanny-P is, of course, the crypt-keeper.

And she’s correct... this election could spell the end to “life as we know it”.
And she’s correct... there is a “challenge to the Constitution”.

In the words of the great P.W. Herman, “I know you are, but what am I”!

This pathetic excuse of feminism can’t even save her own job rating and she’s claiming she knows how to save the planet?

[challenges to the constitution]

Does anyone have a clue what she could be referring to with that remark? I’d like to think I know but I’d like some other input.

Nah, Dennis is busy playing superman saving the planet with a woman half Pelosi’s age.
