Team Obama has GOT to get Bill Richardson away from cameras.
He's on CNN right now. He said that "a President Obama would have a good strong relationship with Russia, and this sort of thing wouldn't happen." (paraphrased; I'll check against the transcript when it's available.)
Richardson just said that McCain is "irrationally make threats" by urging the G8 to expel Russia, and "that's only gonna make matters worse."
Of course. Russia has killed thousands, turned tens of thousands into refugees, they're advancing on the capital, the airport's been bombed, the pipeline is endangered, and the Georgian navy vessels are sinking to the bottom of the Black Sea. But throwing Russia out of the G8 - that will be the true disaster.
He has once again called for going to the United Nations Security Council to get a ceasefire. Russia has a veto on the UNSC. Of course, if Russia wanted a ceasefire, they could just... cease firing. The Georgians are begging for a ceasefire.
We’re in an election cycle where the DIMocrats have fallen over themselves to look like idiots. They come up with ridiculous rules, the party is split between two candidates who, frankly, aren’t that far apart politically. And they chose the least prepared candidate in a time of World tension. Then they display symptoms of second-guessing that decision.
This is not the time for the GOP to be second-guessing itself. McCain should come out strong and deliberate, even overshadowing the Bush administration (which isn’t that hard to do right now). Let Obama change his rhetoric as he has begun to do now on this issue as well. Bring out the issue of oil in the region, how any upheaval in that area could bring serious economic problems. And relate this to “do you really believe Obama is the man for this hour?”.
That’s where McCain/the GOP must go with this. It’s really a no-brainer, but whether the GOP has the will is another matter. I believe McCain does...
So right.
......Vladimir Putin just got McCain electred......
My so far unexpressed thought was that Russia doesn’t want to put up with the global mess Husssein will create and is taking a trip through Georgia to give McCain a break.
They are killing severaal birds with one quick sweep.
He looks like Edward G. Robinson in “The Ten Commandments.” That’s NOT a compliment.
Would you believe NM has 48% legal hispanics, but the illegals vote in NM too. LOL That's the honest truth. Richardson made sure they can vote in NM because he's allowed illegals to obtain NM Driver's Licenses, and with that, they can register to vote.
Hey now...no one makes fun of my pal Sgt. Garcia! You take that comparison back!
I am guessing you have the Zorro DVDs?
New Mexico has a history of graft and corruption (and possibly even murder) going back to statehood. This is not a reflection on its people but on those who've strove for office on their backs. It could be considered where "special interests" was originally defined.
Unless the Russian invasion of Georgia is mention on some dumb-ass reality show 95% of the US populace will never know the event has even happened or happening.
Excellent post.
Thanks.
According to Obammy's comment today, he's been warning about this for months. Funny thing though, I can't find any of his statements on it.
What does Hillary say to the war? What would she do? Do we know?
LOL! Perhaps The Crisco Kid will have Obama & Osama over for the next Super Bowl party to chew the fat.
If you think Ricardoson is bad, you ought to hear the Jerkinator.
Sounds like a good Ad for McCain.
The Crisco Kid, off the ‘ticket’ he slid.
Lol.
And Christopher Reeve would be walking.
What, again?
Richardson seems to do this at least half of the time he gets in front of a camera.
