Team Obama has GOT to get Bill Richardson away from cameras.
He's on CNN right now. He said that "a President Obama would have a good strong relationship with Russia, and this sort of thing wouldn't happen." (paraphrased; I'll check against the transcript when it's available.)
Richardson just said that McCain is "irrationally make threats" by urging the G8 to expel Russia, and "that's only gonna make matters worse."
Of course. Russia has killed thousands, turned tens of thousands into refugees, they're advancing on the capital, the airport's been bombed, the pipeline is endangered, and the Georgian navy vessels are sinking to the bottom of the Black Sea. But throwing Russia out of the G8 - that will be the true disaster.
He has once again called for going to the United Nations Security Council to get a ceasefire. Russia has a veto on the UNSC. Of course, if Russia wanted a ceasefire, they could just... cease firing. The Georgians are begging for a ceasefire.
Appears to me he just affirmed his selection...
If Obama had only gotten the chance to talk to Putin, none of this would have happened.
There is no fight Richardson won’t run away from.
When Richardson first endorsed Nobama, I thought it was a deal that he would be the VP pick. Maybe not.
Actually sounds like he’s a great match for Obama.
Id love for Obama to pick this guy. He cannot even put together a coherent sentence in English or Spanish. He’s a moron.

Better yet, if Michelle had talked to him. Eliminate the middle man, so to speak.
I watched Jake Tapper (in for Georgie-boy) on ABC News This Week yesterday morning. They had Richardson on talking about how diplomacy is what is needed with Georgia, and bashing Bush (and by extension McCain) for the problems with Russia. Jake Tapper asked hard questions (and corrected Richardson on the amount of money McCain received from the oil lobby [$2 million when Richardson said $200 million!]).
Then, during the roundtable session, ABC News contributer Torie Clarke called Richardson’s talking points (which said McCain was “negative”) “ludicrous”; the entire roundtable said this (the Georgia invasion) was a really big issue. Later they openly mocked Richardson. When Jake asked if the Georgia invasion means Obama should pick an experienced foreign policy advisor, Torie said “Like Bill Richardson?”, they all laughed out loud. I just loved how the roundtable panel recognized how ridiculous he was!
I think you are closer. Maybe the GOP needs to find a quick replacement for McNuts. We have to go to war with the army we have and right now it is rather thin.
Obama...oral sex...Putin.
This schmuck is insane.
They might be left with one choice...HRC.
PING! to the NM list.
You're asking the GOP to put its selection process in upheaval 3 months before the election, and right when a major military power is flexing its muscles? Isn't that what the DIMocrats are supposed to be considering? Why in heck would the GOP commit suicide like that?
I'm no partisan for McCain. You'll see on this forum I've stated I'll not vote for the man. But what you propose is political suicide. Militarily, McCain is the best that can be offered right now. Domestically and on the illegal-immigration issues he's a disaster. But this is one area he shines in.
I agree with the posters who've said this could be a blessing in disguise for the GOP this year. It's going to shine the light on Obama's inexperience and naivety like nothing else.
If you think this North Korean ass kisser has or had a chance of becoming V.P. u b nuts.
What has he done besides being born hispanic?
How the “Los Alamos Loser” Richardson was elected governor of NM much less be a viable candidate for VPOTUS is a mystery to me. LOL
