Georgia: Russia 'conducting cyber war'
Telegraph ^ | 08-11-08 | Jon Swaine

The Shadowserver Foundation, which tracks serious hacking, confirmed: "We are now seeing new attacks against .ge sites - www.parliament.ge and president.gov.ge are currently being hit with http floods." Mr Armin warned that official Georgian sites that did appear online may have been hijacked and be displaying bogus content. He said in a post on his site: "Use caution with any web sites that appear of a Georgia official source but are without any recent news ... as these may be fraudulent." The Baltic Business News website reported that Estonia has offered to send a specialist online security team to Georgia. However a spokesman from Estonia's Development Centre of State Information Systems said Georgia had not made a formal request. "This will be decided by the government," he said.

Yeah. I’ve already seen the “Russians are pure as the driven snow” posts from new FR members. The grammar is a dead giveaway.

Oh, yikes, I read the posts on DU after VP Cheney made his statement about not letting this go, and they were psycho-rabid as usual.

And FR will be among the first attacked if there are problems with the US and Russia.

Along with a lot of other sites.

But then... I get to say “I told you so” to all these “Russians are OUR friends” people.

Give me a break.

Another dead give-away is the ad-nauseum, idiotic “Kosovo” justification. The Russian enablers have been here en mass for years though.

This attack was an extremely well planed and well implemented blitz into Georgia, timed to go off perfectly with the Olympics at center stage.

Military, economic, psychological, and informational plans were used by Russia. Don’t think it far-fetched that there are Russian intel people out there trying to assuage public opinion. I’m not saying every rabid Ruskie or Serb, but it is obvious that they are on this site with their propaganda screeds. Being old enough to have lived through the Cold War, it’s not that big of a stretch. But young people who don’t know the cold barbarity of the old Soviet Union, may have a hard time believing Russians would do something like that. They are masters at mass propaganda.

I’d love to see a current interview with ‘Comrade J: The Untold Secrets of Russia’s Master Spy in America After the End of the Cold War’, regarding the Russian mugging of Georgia. Comrade J has a lot of insight into the post USSR and rise of Putin as well as Oil for Food, UN commies, Clinton State Dept...and mucho more!

“I’ve already seen the “Russians are pure as the driven snow” posts from new FR members.”

The same applies to many of the Leftist/Democrat sites, as well...

It SHOULD be a wakeup call that many of the most rabid Bush-haters on the Moonbat blogs ARE NOT ACTUALLY AMERICANS, but I doubt if many of our Democrat friends are smart enough to pick up on it.

There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye. This isn’t JUST about Balkins, or Georgia.... this is about Russian military might, and it’s about the US/Israelis possible plan to go into Iran.

There’s a MUCH larger picture people are failing to see here.

Putin is STILL the leader (even though they elected Medvedev), and he’s a hard core, KGB type, Commie. Regardless of what some are saying here or believe, the Russians are STILL communists and they still have that mentality.

They are attacking the country, not so much because of internal strife, but because it has plenty of historical precedence.

They sent a couple of carrier groups to the Middle East this weekend... wow... just about 12 days ago we did the same thing.

Interesting huh?

The Russians are trying to push the US out, and prevent Georgia from joining NATO, annex that country as they did in the past, push the current president there out of office (and perhaps to a work camp someplace in Siberia) and prevent an attack on Iran, ALL IN ONE FEEL SWOOP.

And it is looking like the United States is going to CAVE and LET IT HAPPEN.

“I get to say “I told you so” to all these “Russians are OUR friends” people.”

The RUSSIANS are, or can be, our friends....

It’s the SILOVIKI, or the old-line deposed generals, Ex-KGB’rs that are running this game. They want a return to the Glory Days of the Soviet Union, when men turned away in fear as these clowns walked down the street.

I’m going to suggest even though it might piss some folks off, you all have a look at my tag line.

Anyone interested in this we have specific stuff ABOUT Russia.

We keep ALL the news we can find on the Trans-Asian Axis (which Russia and China are the leaders thereof) and check the site out.

I’m not suggesting that we take Freepers away from here, but you’re all invited to participate, especially those of you who KNOW about the Cold War.

“The RUSSIANS are, or can be, our friends....”

I’m not so sure of that.

The Russians have undergone near constant bombardment of BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) from their activists and Government, the same as we have been from ours.

Every ill, bad luck, or negative action has been blamed on Bush and his “Evil Empire Mentality”, and the Russian people have fallen for it-hook, line and sinker-just like over half of our Country has.

The Government of Russia HAS NEVER BEEN our friend. They only pulled back to regroup, and have been positioning for this, and other actions like this, ever since.

Same goes for China.
