Not being a Californian, I didn’t get to vote. I was not happy with Arnold on the social issues, but shared the fear that a vote for McClintock might throw the election to the Democrat.
Actually, I would have preferred Bill Simon. He would have won earlier, if Bush and Rove hadn’t stabbed him in the back. Then none of this nonsense would ever have arisen in the first place.
I hope Rove is satisfied with the mess he made in California. It seems doubtful that a Republican will ever win there again.

I voted for McClintock, but you are forgiven my child.

You’re not the first to apologize, but thanks for doing so.
Many of the same aRINOld crew went on to support tootyfruityrudy and other RINOs and denigrated Hunter supporters. Free Republic has been infiltrated and overcome by RINOs. Any day now I expect the first page to be modified, where it says “ Free Republic is not affiliated with any political party, group, news source, government agency or anyone else. “ It will say “ Free Republic is not affiliated with any news source or government agency. “

McClintock on paper is good, but he could not have won. It was really a contest between Arnold and Gray Davis.

How about the other people here who supported Arnold in 2003: Agree? Disagree?I think most of them are hiding in shame these days. :-)

Well, I’m not. Larry Elder said he’d made a mistake here. If he can step up to the plate, so can I.

Bustamante would never had won. The GOP were more interested in having a (R) in the capitol than a real republican. Mcclintook would have been what the state needed. Don’t vote out of fear. Rinonator has been pretty bad. Hopefully in the next state election there will be a good one to vote for.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have supported and voted for McClintock.
I hereby openly apologize to McClintock and his supporters. I was wrong. Nicely done.
