In an interview with Politico and Yahoo News released Thursday, Rice was asked if she would feel secure with a president Obama.
"Oh, the United States will be fine," she responded. "I think that we are having an important debate about how we keep the country safe," she said, pointing to the Middle East and Iraq.

If we are so great how come we have an idiot like Obama getting the Democrat nomination? And how come we have an idiot like Condi Rice for Secretary of State?
I appreciate your thoughtful comments about Condi Rice.
I may not agree with all of her stances, but she’s still an admirable person.
exactly right ari-freedom...
{shaking head sadly...}
She has no control over what the MSM says or does. READ the article, she didn’t say what the title leads us to believe.
Obama will say whatever an idiot needs to say to get elected, regardless of what Dr. Rice or the MSM says.
The header said to read the article she said
“I don’t need another job in government with anybody. Look, I’m a Republican, all right? Senator McCain is a fine patriot and he would be a great president,” she said.
“But there’s something to be said for fresh blood,” Rice added in reference to the running mate talk. “And I know that there are a lot of very good people who could be his vice president.”
OK, so the US president has a lot of power. Positions are all well and good but it's congress that makes the laws and raises money, and it's the courts that rule on compliance. Her point is that the president is not omnipotent and there's no point in saying we're moving to Canada if Obama's elected because it won't wash.
America is powerful, stable, a tremendous force for good, and not even an Obama presidency can change that.
This woman seems to be a MISTAKE !
A big GWBUSH’ mistake.Don’t know where she stands!
Black solidarity/racism above all?
What kind of unity that kind of people can bring to USA ?
NO UNITY
Yeah, I wish she’d come out directly for McCain, but she did pretty deftly not answer ‘Yes, the US will be safe under Obama’, at least.
The same way we got a Carter, Clinton, etc, etc as President. We are great in spite of what happens in DC, not because of it. That is the key to our greatness. Unlike other countries, whose greatness is tied up in their halls of power, our greatness comes from our citizens who get up every day, got to work, and make this country great.
How are we stronger today? Half the country appears to be willing to elect a Marxist president, while the only other alternative is a guy who often hops in bed with the leftist democrats. Something has seriously gone wrong here, no? If Obama, in particular, makes it in, it will be a really long while before we can even begin to restore the damage done.
Affirmative Action Sec. Of State supports Affirmative Action President.. Well, Duuugh..
Look, I'm a Republican, all right? Senator McCain is a fine patriot and he would be a great president
The fact that Rice doesn't believe that the Republic will collapse under Obama doesn't mean that she's an Obama supporter, for cryin' out loud.
“Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.”
There is nothing racist in my post. I didn’t profess a dislike of anyone based on skin color. I merely made two observations. #1 - It’s generally accepted in the black community race trumps all. If I observe that 90% of blacks are voting for Obama, is that racist? #2 - Ms. Rice, on more than one occassion has seemed to treat Sen. Obama more than fairly. The conclusion is left to the reader.
I believe you seeing racism in my post is racist, how’s that? (And it tells me a little about your capacity to be analytical).
See 50 for my answer. Our greatness doesn’t come from our halls of power.
“When a black person votes for a black person based only on
race is racist so Condi is a racist.”
And you know this how?
And she just said the U.S. will be safe. That’s not an endorsement of Obama. I took it as an endorsement of our security policies.
“What’s she supposed to say? “
Oh, I don’t know, how about supporting your party and qualifying it? Along the lines of:
The US would be safe, but not be as safe as it is now, or would be with Sen. McCain as President.
Boy, that took a lot of effort.
Show me where she said she was voting for Barry because he is black.
