BTW..they also built refineries in the following years closer to the pool in record time as well.

The “Speculators” that everybody seems to love to hate are pushing “Sell” contracts, and that’s applying downward pressure on the Futures prices. IOW, the current drop we’re seeing is the fault of evil “Speculators.”

I told the guys at work months ago that if President Bush announced that we have already tapped into new supplies and the crude is on it's way to the refineries as we speak, we'd see the price of gas drop to a dollar a gallon in about five minutes.
It wouldn't have to even be true. Word of mouth alone would make it happen.

I talked about this House Rebellion with an old friend today. He hadn’t heard a peep about this. He’s a strong conservative, trusting in conservative op-eds and TV. He felt very betrayed at not knowing. I gave him some phone numbers, and he has conservative friends in this county. FRegards ....
