At age 64, well into her retirement from the Army, Frances Rice is at the center of a contentious campaign on race and politics -- and she has never been happier.
Frances Rice, 64, grew up in Atlanta. She says growing up in poverty and segregation set her against the Democratic Party. Now, as she works to bring blacks to the ranks of the GOP, she says she feels that she is making a difference in politics. But her tactics are not winning everyone over. The leader of the Sarasota-based National Black Republican Association is a minority within a minority. Not only is she black, she is also a Republican, a member of a party to which fewer than 10 percent of black voters in Florida belong. Her campaigns -- including one meant to foil the nomination of the first black presidential candidate, Barack Obama -- are best known for their shock value.
Her messages have brought condemnation from Democrats. But they have also sparked a backlash among many Republicans.

This gal needs our support.

I've followed what this fine lady has done for a while now. She is one spunky lady and it is a shame how may Republicans turn her back on her approach. She has more backbone than most of the House and Senate R's combined.

When hearing that the chairman of the Republican Party of
Florida, Jim Greer, had expressed disappointment in her magazine, The Black Republican, which Greer had secured party money to publish, Rice dismissed it with a wave of her hand. The magazine featured a picture of Ku Klux Klan members burning a cross, with the caption "Every person in this photograph was a Democrat."Typical wishy-washy-, weak-kneed, limp-wristed, yellow-belly, milquetoast Republican. Probably a Log Cabin Republican.

"Mrs. Rice has some very strong views on certain issues," Greer said. "It showed us that before we donate to anything, regardless of how it appears, the party needs to ensure it takes a look at all the content."Modern Republicanism in a nutshell. You got strong views? Aaaack! Run away! Run Away!

It sounds like the whole Pubbie party tossed her under the bus. I'm proud of this fine lady for having the testicular fortitude (much more than the nancy boys in the GOP) to tell the truth. It's funny to see how much the GOP gets nervous when a black conservative lady (someone they dare not attack too vocally) starts to go after their partners in crime loyal opposition.

I’m thinking we should donate to her and her organization.

Yes, she deserves our support. She is being criticized for telling the truth.

It sounds like the whole Pubbie party tossed her under the bus.Yeah. Under the back of the bus. That's right. I said it.

I don’t agree with everything she says, and I don’t agree with her methods. “Every person in this photograph was a Democrat”? How could she know that? And why speculate knowing all it’s going to do is inflame both sides. She’s old enough to know better. You don’t win people to your side by beating them over the head with baseless rhetoric.
To: Not gonna take it anymore
She is so politically active that tax lawyers question why the NBRA has nonprofit status.Yeah! She should be more non-political like Jesse Jackson's Rainbow/PUTSCH Coaliton.

Remarkable woman, a Republican with guts.
"We would tell her, 'You can't go around bashing the Democratic Party and then expect them to come to our side in droves,' " Scoggins said. "She would take the approach, 'Well, you're not a real Republican, then.'"
To: LiberConservative
You dont win people to your side by beating them over the head with baseless rhetoric. Democrats have successfully employed this tactic for years. (Their current presidential candidate is a perfect example.)

Every person in this photograph was a Democrat? How could she know that? How could you assume she doesn't?
Names were named in those times, at such gatherings....
The very real history of the Rats and their suppression of blacks is well documented...as well as how Republicans fought - and died - on their side.
I'' double guarantee ya that this lady knows lots more of the documented TRUTH of what went down, than you do...
But the RAts shills, the MSM, keeps a lid on it.
