I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.

He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...

"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

I wish the Senate Republicans also had the stones to do something like this.

"...40 Republicans on the floor now."

Is there anyone that is able to get the names of all those who are there?

They should make a TV commercial using that graphic as a base.

I can't take credit for it, but I've seen different variations of it, and it's as good as all I've seen.

To quote Clint Eastwood in "Heartbreak Ridge", "I think war's just been declared."

Very powerful visuals in here, courtesy of Ms Pelosi. Representatives making speeches about energy through a bull-horn on the floor, with the lights turned down low. Democrats all absent.

From Politico:

Update 4 - Republican leaders just sent out a notice looking for a bullhorn and leadership aides are trying to corral all the members who are still in town to come speak on the floor and sustain this one-sided debate.

Any DC Freepers nearby to loan a bullhorn to the cause?

I certainly don’t think this across the board moratorium on domestic energy, combined with a foreign policy that allows the worst rogue nations free reign in the world, is accidental, Quix. Some might debate us on that but the results of such policies are pretty clear cut. Our energy infrastructure is headed for a state of non-functionality and liberal foreign policy is the equivalent of releasing the inmates of the violent offenders cell block and issuing them guns and ammo as they leave.

I just called James McCrery’s (R-LA) office and they said that he is not among them. I told the young lady he needs to come back to the House and support the effort. I am in one of the few states that does allow off-shore drilling and can attest to it’s safety. I hope they keep up the good work. I talked to the Whip’s office also and let him know we appreciate the effort and to continue the good work.

I just called my Congressman to offer my support for this effort. The gentleman that answered the phone brightened up considerably when I told him why I was calling. (Can we get a Richmond ping?)

WHO IS IN CHARGE OF CAMERAS? THE LAW SHOULD STEP IN AND ALLOW CAMERAS IN THE PEOPLES HOUSE! IS THIS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA??

Nancy. But she is not there and congress is not in session but on break. Her authority as such should be nil.

I wonder.....

If our Reps have cameras on their cell phones???

This could be a great way to get the visuals....

Many cell phones have video capability. GET BUSY: get someone into the visitor’s section, record at least some, then send to FR, Fox, et al.
