House Republicans are still there, raising cain- trying to get them to turn the lights back on and continue debating over drilling!!!

I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
Let me know if and when the Republicans put the interests of American citizens above the interests of illegal aliens. If that ever happens I’ll be interested in listening to the Stupid Party.
So what did end up happening?
Is there a wrap up story?
The Republicans left I guess?
Are they coming back tomorrow? Monday?
Is there going to be a vote?
Many inquiring minds want to know that!
Today was PERFECT...Monday might not be so much!

I'm sorry a few hours is really no big deal and this time it really wasn't enough. Many on this board have sacrificed far, far more. It showed a lack of vision, a lack of imagination and a lack of serious determination and stamina. Again, the Republicans had a chance to really seize the moment and create a REAL moment (unlike Obama's false moments) and they blew it.
We'll all be paying high gas prices at least for the next five weeks and probably much longer.
I hope they keep the momentum going and do that!

They said at the press conference they weren’t leaving DC until there was a vote.

It has opened up a whole new level of debate on off-shore drilling
and has given the president ammunition when he can use it.

I can't be certain of the motivation, though nothing would surprise me any more. I am certain it was an extremely big opportunity missed. Very frustrating.

It has shown that the R’s, when backed up against the wall, will fight for the right! At least some of them.
I wanted our candidate to just pitch in and support these guys right away. Have we heard anything from him?
