I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
Wow, and I was about ready to bring them some lemonade and sandwiches. They messed up a big opportunity for them and us. With just a little follow-up, they might have changed the outcome of the election and more. Idiots.
And I didn't have to leave the computer but for but 3 minutes.

I called Pelosi’s office to demand a reconvention and vote on the American Energy Act as well as the White House to request that our President call a special session of the House to vote on the American Energy Act.
I also wrote my Representative, Shaddegg, to commend him on his actions today.
It’s been a heckuva day.
They collapsed...as planned. We’ve just been played like a fine-tuned fiddle. I’m so pissed.
I suspect it’s more ordering them not to drill.
Just as the oil companies were ordered to cap the wells and keep the vast reserves secret.
I called Smith’s office and was told that the issue was out of his hands as he is a Senator and not a Congressman...weak response for a Republican
I agree. And this can be a March FOR something this time around, at least the vote being allowed on energy. Hopefully, at some point, it will be a voter revolution and not a physical one.

I was ready to go to DC....seriously. I am so let down. Why did they even bother? This had the makings of a real catalyst. I’m glad they were able to delay their vacations for an entire 4 hours. Now they just look like opportunists.
I’m hoping they didn’t realize how inspiring it was for a couple of hours being cloistered away by Her Majesty, and that they will realize they could have started something big. Hopefully the GOP House Reps will be back in DC Monday.

You know that the main stream media is not going to cover it.
Once they figure hoe to cast in in a negative perspective they may mention it.
But why?
Drrr, The same people who want them to pull our Troops out of the most strategic area (to our Economy) in the world.
Maybe they just passed the ball to us. We need to keep calling and writing and making all the noise we can the whole time the dems are on vacation.
