Posted on 07/31/2008 10:36:28 AM PDT by patriciamary
Please Pray for my husband Dom.He is 50 and had a stroke on Sunday.I have been a freeper for awhile and find enjoyment and great information from my fellow freepers. My husband worked all his life, seven days a week, but we can not afford health insurance and a mortgage.I am so worried about my husband ,he has no vision or hearing in his left side and cannot walk.He also has vertigo, all from the stroke.I was told by the hospital they can take my house and all we saved if I don't make payment.I have been hearing this since Sunday.I have young children and I'm a mess .Please pray for my husband he really needs it.I am sorry if I posted wrong .I am not thinking clearly.Getting him well is what's important. Thank you

This is the difference between conservatives and liberals.
Conservatives are offering up heartfelt prayers and sound legal advice and even offering to take up a collection.
Liberals would be arguing about nationalizing healthcare and blaming the “man”.
Good luck to you, patriciamary

I can see the Lord has his hands full with incoming right now, so I’ll be brief. Just think, if He answers just one of us, you’re covered. Bless you and yours. Amen.

Lifting this Entire Situation before our Lord, Who will Make a Way for you through these Circumstances, and Praying Earnestly for your Husband's Health. Our Savior Brought me through a Horrible Fiery Trial in 2005, and Now my In-Laws are in a Trying Family Situation, but Strong is the Lord our King, and He will See us, and you and your Husband through All this. Hugs and Prayers! He Loves you, and will be your Provider and Strength.

This is a prayer thread. Since when are trolls allowed to come on prayer threads to insult the person being prayed for, and the people praying for them?
Patriciamary’s husband had a stroke, and she is requesting prayers for him, as well as advice for herself. How dare you accuse her of sitting on her butt whining?
You have no idea what anyone is doing to help Patriciamary, in addition to the prayers. And whether you like it or not, prayers do help. As does providing the information she asked for.
Praying is not stupid. And last time I checked, it was still allowed on Free Republic. Take your Christian bashing attitude elsewhere.

But did they have a payment plan and were unable to meet the terms? They had to have been given a chance to pay before having a lien put on their home, didn’t they?

Prayers up for your whole family, including you. There is lots of good advice about how to deal with the hospital on this thread.
Please remember that, even though you are torn in 50 directions and overwhelmed by your responsibilities, you MUST take care of yourself. Now is the time to lean on friends and family. Take them up on offers to help.

Recovery from strokes is quite common these days, especially with someone so young. Prayers for Don and for all of you as you support him.
