Whether he knows it or not, Barack Obama has just irretrievably changed the course of the 2008 presidential election.
By essentially labeling John McCain a racist, simply as a result of McCain daring to challenge his policy positions, Obama has entered the murkey world of race baiting, sinking to join hands with the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakan.
Reverend Wright should be proud, Obama WASN'T asleep during all those sermons. He's learned well from his religious leader and mentor.
How unfortunate. He could not have picked a worse target for these attacks. John McCain may be many things, but he is not a racist.
Obama has just diminished himself and reduced his campaign to a single gutteral issue. Once you play the race card, you can't retract it.
The years of hate-filled sermons and black seperatism have have achieved their result. The chicken has come home to roost in Barack Obama.
Obama is a small, petty, weak and ineffective excuse for a candidate who is no more a healer than the rogue's gallery of cohorts he has surrounded himself with for the last 20 years.
You need to remember that the purpose of reparations isn't to punish any real wrongdoers or to compensate any actual victims. It's to punish white people for being white and to reward blacks for being black.
Think of affirmative action as an analogy. After all, affirmative action is really a form of reparations, designed to "compensate" blacks for alleged past discrimination. Yet, all blacks are eligible for it, whether they or their ancestors were actually victims of discrimination in America or not. An African immigrant who gets off the boat today is immediately eligible for affirmative action, even though he's never lived here before, never had an ancestor who lived here, and lived his entire life up to this time in a land run by his own people.
No one ever says that only blacks who can demonstrate that they had an ancestor who was discriminated against will be eligible for affirmative action. It's simply a reward given to blacks for having black skin, at the expense of whites, who are expected to pay for having white skin. Reparations will work the same way. People keep noting (correctly) that not all blacks had ancestors who were American slaves, that some blacks even owned slaves in America, that millions of whites didn't own slaves, that millions of whites had ancestors who immigrated here long after slavery ended, and they wonder how reparations will be distributed given those discrepancies. But liberals aren't going to worry about any of those things. They'll simply give all blacks reparations, including Obama (whose black ancestors were never American slaves), zillionaires like Oprah, and powerful congressmen like Rangel. All whites will be ineligible, period.
In other words, it's a racial transfer of wealth from a politically disfavored group, which dares not even suggest that it has any rights, to a politically favored group, which is being rewarded for voting 90% Democrat for several decades.
People keep coming up with logical reasons for opposing reparations. They fail to understand that they aren't dealing with logical people. No one supports reparations because they are trying to be fair, they support it for ideological or personal financial reasons. It won't make a bit of difference to them that you don't have any slaveowners among your American ancestors.

I am convinced that Barry learned from his earliest days as a toddler to use that guilt-causing ploy to get his way in everything. “You ....{whatever correction or criticism his grandparents were saying] because I look different.”
It is like breathing for him to challenge anyone with that comment.
I think that Americans are moving beyond being affected by that criticism, but Obama may not realize it, because his supporters and staff still buy the excuse.

The costs of affirmative action, both in direct monetary loss for those that were more qualified and excluded due to lack of melanin,
and the indirect costs of inefficiencies in the economy.
“Hate Crime” laws are simply ways to punish someone for having non-liberal thoughts.
Reparations will never go to those who are descended from slaves.
It will simply go into race baters’ slush fund organizations (Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Calypso Louie).

Look at the response: Gets on the news. A public collection is taken up to repair the damage. Obama's political opponents are lumped in with racists.
From the Duke LAX racist rape fraud to the Tawana Brawley rape fraud that put Al Sharpton on the map, to various racist vandalism frauds, such scams have repeatedly happened.

His support team in the media will not be enough to vote him into the presidency. ‘Ordinary’ Americans are getting sick and tired of being challenged as racists if they criticize anything that a person of ‘color’ says or does.
It is Obama’s lifetime defense, and it is a crutch. McCain stands without crutches and will win this race.
