Obama jokingly claimed that Wild Bill Hickock, a famous old Western gunslinger, was a distant cousin of his so McCain should be on the alert. “I'm ready to duel John McCain on taxes. Right now, right here. I'm a quick draw,” Obama quipped.

Further in the article ....... so now he's a relative of Wild Bill Hickock???????? What is he going to 'duel' McCain with .... spitballs? Waffles? IF, indeed, Obama is some distant relative of Hickock, he got the story wrong. It wasn't a fast draw contest in Springfield, MO when Hickock killed Dave Tutt. Tutt fired first. Hickock leveled his revolver and killed Tutt over a distance of 75 yards.

BTW, Hickock was born about 40 miles straight South of me. I doubt Obama even knows the name of the Illinois town Hickock was born in (Troy Grove).

Barack Hussein Obama is about as all American, Apple Pie, as Ole Joe Stalin or Mao Tse-tung. McGovern was a lefty, a supporter of Henry Wallace, and an appeaser. But he was a genuine WWII hero, a long time active US Senator, and a man with the opposite personality of the haloed one. He had no business being considered for POTUS in 1972 for many reasons. He was unlikely to respond to nuclear threat for one. But he was infinitely more qualified to be POTUS than the haloed one.
