We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

Yes, you are correct. It is frightening..they cannot discuss issues, they feel ok with this because they are MORALLY SUPERIOR to you and I. Perhaps I’m making a pretty wild suggestion...but you know...I think I’d extend a 30-minute reservation for Jon to speak at the Republican National Convention. I think this guy could probably bring folks up on a standing ovation for six or seven times.

Perhaps I’m thinking on the wild side...but this article impressed me...he is right on so many points. So much of the early 1970s Democratic support came off radical 60’s and their front-line speakers. “Change” was a huge sales item within their speeches. By the late 70’s....the steam was gone from this period. I think Jon Voight ought to speak...and give us a moment of inspiration...we need it.

You just reminded me of something that happened years ago. I was dating a guy..he was nice, but he wasn’t what my parents were “hoping” for me. (honestly, it was about religion). I was with this guy for three years. One night I was visting them and we were having dinner. Out of the blue, my darling Father looked up from his soup and said, “Break up with Jeffrey.” It was so bizarre. Then, he never talked about it again! Thinking about it now, it must have been so hard for my Dad to do this beccause he loved me, and we were so close..and Jeffrey was a nice guy. Of course, I didn’t listen to him then. We eventually broke up and I married my hubby who my dad adored. PS: My husband is not of my religion either. As you get older, I guess this doesn’t matter as much!!!! lol!
