Radovan Karadzic is accused of the most heinous crimes against humanity, from the siege of Sarajevo to the Srebrenica massacre.

He is charged with having the blood of 20,000 lives on his hands and of bringing an entire country down by ethnic hatred.

Today relatives of the thousands of victims said they had been waiting for this moment of justice for 13 years.

The one thing Hopchop can't spin is the fact that the video shot by RTS proved that Trnopolje was a hoax. Not only that, one of the so called "prisoners" was identified as Serb by his own daughter back here in Chicago and when attempting to alert the local media about this discrepancy, they refused to listen.

Instructions for Hoplite: dig hole in sand and insert head.

Get off your soap Hopless. The video of the ITN farse exists showing that the "prisoners" were on the wrong side of the fence—the outside!

What about the material in post #48 is too difficult for you to understand?

The inmates were not there of their own free will, they were not able to leave, they were mistreated and some were murdered or raped while they were there.

And I don't recall Japanese American being taken from their camps and massacred, as happened to inmates from Trnopolje at Vlasic Mountain.

But then I wouldn't, because as baleful an episode as our treatment of Japanese Americans was, it just doesn't even remotely compare to what the Serbs perpetrated in Bosnia, and in my experience nobody's ever been stupid enough to try to attempt to equate the two before you.

"This is worse than British or American tabloids writing about people abducted by aliens."

This may explain the freezer truck mystery.

"It [Trnopolje] was a detention camp where thousands of people were being held against their will without sufficient food or shelter and without being charged with any crime."

Kinda like the Superdome during Katrina...

Verdict was that LM HURT HER FEELINGS, not that LM lied and printed untruth.

No the verdict was that your favorite magazine, Living Marxism (why are you afraid to write out the full title?) committed libel.

English libel laws are notorious for alowing lies triumph in court.

Notorious among fans of David Irving and Slobodan Milosevic for not defending their heroes' propaganda, perhaps. But certainly not notorious among normal folk.

Wow, you skirt the facts again.

Normal people do not continue to lie when confronted with hard evidence. Psychopats do.

BBC's Nick Higham reported on the evening of the verdict in ITN case:

"Summing up, Mr Justice Morland told the jury that LM's facts might have been right, but he asked, did that matter?"

That summing up was so one-sided that it made ITN's barrister redundant. It reached its nadir when, having quoted extensively from ITN witnesses, the judge told the jury that he was not going to mention anything that I or Mr Deichmann had said, because we were not at Trnopolje camp in northern Bosnia on August 5, 1992. But if eyewitness accounts cannot be challenged after the event, where does that leave critical journalism?

Advising the jury on damages, the judge said that somebody who lost both arms in an accident might receive compensation of #100,000, so awarding the ITN journalists more than #150,000 each for their hurt feelings would be "excessive". He also said that damages would be aggravated if the defence had strenuously cross-examined the claimants. The more robustly we defended ourselves, the higher price we would have to pay.

You have no clue what you are writing about and attempt to replace it with brazen insults.

Justice Morland said no such thing as is alleged in the bulletin board link you posted.

Your fellow Marxists at Living Marxism admitted in open court that Trnopolje was a concentration camp.

By the way, the comparison to Bergen-Belsen was quite apt: Bergen-Belsen was not a death camp, but a concentration camp. Bergen-Belsen had no gas chambers or mass executions: it was a place where inmates were detained in crowded and unsanitary conditions until they could be transferred to the death camps in the east.

Living Marxism was convicted of libel because they lied.

Yeah Clinton’s tanks were very accurate in Waco Texas too after Clinton sent tanks to burn 100 women and children alive there.

I have no idea how this is in any way relevant to this discussion.

And Clinton bombed Serbian cities for Islam and he did kill women and children , the commie Clinton.

Clinton bombed Serbia due to a combination of international pressure to act and the ongoiing scandals relating to his impeachment. There were certainly some civilian casualties, but none were inflicted intentionally- the US military, despite your claims to the contrary, tries very hard to avoid civilian casualties, unlike Milosevic's goons.

And Clinton tried to impose government healthcare on the American people - that’s communism.

Again, how is this in any way relevant to this discussion?

Wideawake, you claim verbatim: "Bergen-Belsen was quite apt: Bergen-Belsen was not a death camp, but a concentration camp. Bergen-Belsen had no gas chambers or mass executions: it was a place where inmates were detained in crowded and unsanitary conditions until they could be transferred to the death camps in the east.<<<<<<

ENOUGH WITH YOUR BRAZEN NAZI REVISIONIST PROPAGANDA ! Bergen-Belsen was a concentration camp where Nazis transferred inmates from the East because Soviets liberated camps in Poland and elsewhere.

More than 50 000 people died in Bergen Belsen, including Anne Frank.

No such thing happened in Trnopolje. Your claim that calling Trnopolje Belsen was quite apt only exposes you for what you really are - Nazi revisionist. You deliberatelly falsify the history of WWII in hope no one will notice.

You are on the wrong place, pal.

Lies are always exposed on FR.

The deaths at Bergen-Belsen, as documented by various historians of the Holocaust, were caused by a typhus epidemic brought on by the appalling lack of sanitation in the concentration camp. Anne Frank quite infamously died of typhus only a few weeks before the Allies liberated Bergen-Belsen.

This same kind of abuse was being replicated at Trnopolje until ITN broadcast it, shaming the Yugoslav authorities into shutting it down.

All your screaming and yelling cannot erase the facts of history.

BTW, DTA, pinging dennisw and SJackson to your little tirade will not help you in your quest to label me a "Nazi revisionist."

They know their history too and realize that the Nazis had a highly articulated system of mass murder with different concentration camps being used for different purposes.

The VRS were only aping them.

It will not erase the facts of history, it will only erase your brazen lies.

Trnopolje was closed in August 1992. Yugoslav authorities had nothing to do with it. Bosnia proclaimed secession from Yugoslavia April 6, 1992. Yugoslav Army left Bosnia May 12 1992. Trnopolje was established and operated by the authorities of Republika Srpska, not by Yugoslav authorities as you fraudulently claim.

Yor claims are made of web of lies.

HRW classifaied Trnopolje as deportation center. Belsen it was not, as you fraudulently claim.

With every attempt, you sink deeper and deeper into the web of lies. That's what liberal/islamofascist propaganda is all about -sling enough mud in hope some will stick.

Hah hah hah!

Do you really expect anyone here to believe that the Republika Srpska was anything other than a Yugoslav puppet government following Belgrade's orders?

We weren't born yesterday.

My advice to wideawake is to never bet on Jihad and never bet on the truthfulness of Muslims. Jihad is eternal no matter how many Radovan Karadzic killed. If they say he killed 20,000 Muslims, he really killed 3,000

3,000 is nothing compared to Muslim massacres such as the 80 million Hindus killed over 3 centuries by Muslim barbarians or the 2 million Christian Armenians Greeks Syrians killed by the Turks circa 1920

Never bet on Jihad. Remember that if you remember nothing else

Clearly Muslims cannot be trusted, as a simple function of their religion which authorizes lying for group advantage.

What I do not discount are the findings of our own troops and our UK allies in terms of war crimes in Bosnia.
