Obamas Dress Code for Sweetie
According to Politicos Carrie Budoff Brown, who is accompanying Obama on his trip to the Middle East and Europe, Obamas campaign sent out a dress code that especially targeted female reporters as to the appropriate attire while traveling in Israel and Jordan.Obama press told to cover up, not wear green. No green. That is the color of Hamas. Also no nail polish, a limited amount of jewelry, covered shoulders and arms, closed-toed shoes, and stockings for women. (Do they make stockings anymore?) Women must also be prepared to cover their heads.
Politico article: Obama ban: What not to wear where?
OPINION: Generally speaking, homosexuals may feel a bit uncomfortable in the Middle East.

“Was Ahmet Yildiz the victim of Turkey’s first gay honour killing?”
By Nicholas Birch in Istanbul
Saturday, 19 July 2008
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “In a corner of Istanbul today, the man who might be described as Turkey’s gay poster boy will be buried a victim, his friends believe, of the country’s deepening friction between an increasingly liberal society and its entrenched conservative traditions.
Ahmet Yildiz, 26, a physics student who represented his country at an international gay gathering in San Francisco last year, was shot leaving a cafe near the Bosphorus strait this week. Fatally wounded, the student tried to flee the attackers in his car, but lost control, crashed at the side of the road and died shortly afterwards in hospital. His friends believe Mr Yildiz was the victim of the country’s first gay honour killing.”
My sons were never made to wear suits to church, but they had to wear at least something like khakis and a button down shirt. Or a nice sweater in winter. Shoes, no sneakers. No more effort or dress time than wearing something more casual. I guess our church was perhaps more dressy than some? Typical small town Presbyterian church, most of the members have been there through several generations. I myself never owned a ladies ‘suit’ but I always wore a dress or skirt, the same clothes I wore to work. I remember my mom’s horror when I was about 14 and wanted to wear cords to church, lol.
I just always felt it was important to emphasize to my kids that this *was* an important thing and they should dress accordingly. They had all the time in the world to dress down but for 2 hours every week, they had to be respectful in their dress.
But, supposedly this is a senatorial “fact finding trip” and not a campaign trip. That’s why it’s being paid for by yours truly, the American citizen, and that’s why he dragged along mutt and jeff. Whom he pretended to include in a “press conference” by asking if Hagel had anything to add and he just said “no”. What a joke.
So why is the Obama campaign dictating anything if it’s a Senate trip? A Senate trip I would think would be handled by Senate staffers and the State Dept.
Am I wrong?
Someone needs to call them to the carpet on this and ask why are we paying for his campaign’s whirlwind tour?
Why isn’t Fox or someone doing a story on this BS? Has Rush said anything about it?
“Do you see any imams or oil princes telling muslims to shave and get the rag off their heads to be respectful to the majority of Americans when here?”
Don’t forget the soap and deodorant.
Hey, there’s too much skin showing
No, those are good points. I hadn't looked at it that way.
Today cigarettes, oil, food, education, and SUV's.
Tomorrow it's apparel.
Sooner or later those who have disdain for America will get their way and force the American way to just go away completely.
I wasn’t offended by anything you said, just pointing out that my parish is much more casual out here in the west. It kind of surprised me too.
On the other hand, I’m quite offended by invading muslims demanding respect here, when they are content slashing throats of Christians in their own lands.
An assumption on either Obama’s or his staff’s part that professional reporters wouldn’t already know what was appropriate in a Muslim country.
One more piece of evidence of your evolution as a fascist and disrespect for freedom. Who would want your kind of hope and change?
To hell with Obama, ladies. wear your tank tops and go braless , like many Jewish summer babes in Israel.
Drive the Obamafascist nuts with your femininity!
He just can’t wait to be king - that’s a song right?
I grew up in a construction family and hve worked in the family corp. all my life
As far as church, I gave it up for drag racing when i was 8 and nevwr looked back.
I’ve been in more churches doing work under contract than ever going to one.
And when and if elected we’ll be sure to see this type of dress code in this country in the future.
I do truly believe that Obama is a fascist, black power liberal socialist, just like the movment in Germany in 1938. Obama has all the signs and marks.
Has no one told Burka Hussein about the clothing optional beaches in Israel? It’s intersting that head coverings are taboo for his minions at the US rallies, but encouraged of the press in his employ when he is bending over for foreign leaders.
If he had dared to bring his loose lipped wife along on the trip you can bet Michelle would be wearing a head covering unlike Laura and Condi who don’t bow to such nonsense.
funny you should bring that up...that's what he wrote in concrete outside the cafeteria of the school in Hawaii:
THE OBAMA FILE. EDUCATION. LINK.
It’s just the idea of being respectful when one goes to the House of God by dressing your best. The Lord deserves no less. So if jeans are the BEST a person has then so be it. I will not let my son where jeans to church because he has better. I have neglected to buy needless stuff before so i could buy decent church clothes for the family. Lose respect for the Lord and you lose it EVERYWHERE...
I was hoping for the one with the gals at the ice-cream shop, or the one with the gal with the long thick black hair wearing low riser jeans and her rifle. But this one will do when discussing “dress code” in Israel! Thanks!!
What do ya bet that when Obama sees this he is “concerned” or frightened?
