Andrea Mitchell might be a doyenne of the liberal media, but she has her reporter's pride and principles, both of which have been trampled by the way the Obama campaign has managed the media during the candidate's current trip to Afghanistan and Iraq. Mitchell let loose on this evening's Hardball, speaking of "fake interviews" and indicating we don't know the truth of the trip because we don't know what was edited out of the video that's been released.
Before Mitchell made her displeasure known, Roger Simon of Politico, Chris Matthews's other guest, depicted the images coming out of the war zone as all Obama could have dreamed of.

Andrea Mitchell [!] rips Obama’s media management while visiting troops. Ping to Today show list.
Bully for Mrs. Greenspan!
Interesting stills.
I saw one pic that revealed when counted 59% of enlistees as black yet Pentagon numbers FY2005 pegged the number at 21.6%
Fake interviews from fake reporters of a fake (arrogant & stupid) candidate.
Could this be another glitch in the Obama machine? I know his supporters are getting really testy when you point out his weaknesses.
Oh please please please let him continue to tick off the press! First the New Yorker reporter banned, now the reporters have no access to his actual trip...
I hope they all get snubbed for the big 3 and then come back to write column after column after column.
Good for her! Maybe some other reporters will stop and think about how they’re being used as part of his campaign. There must be some with self-respect.

You are one funny MoFo...
I took it as a dig at the military controlling the event and that (GASP!) “real” reporters weren’t allowed in. I think it was more a slam to the DOD than anything else.

Obama upsetting the MSM is detrimental to his future.
They turned on Hillary. They can turn on him.
BTTT!
**Obama upsetting the MSM is detrimental to his future.**
LOL!
I probably should have included more of the video: Mitchell went out of her way to express her respect for the military, but did say that journalism was not necessarily their strong suit [my words]. I do think she has a point: you can’t expect military journalists to ask the same kinds of questions that private sector reporters would, and it’s also fair to imagine that for various reasons the military might not want to release video of troops “dissing” Obama.
Actually, I'd much prefer to hear the questions from military journalists than the private sector Obama-ra-ra-er reporters. The latter will only ask cotton candy questions and ooooh and ahhhh over the "wonderful" answer BO gave. Ok, I've now upset my stomach just thinking about the media and Obama.
Tha twas the first thing I noticed on the video. It was well over 1/2 black soldiers, which was unlike any pictures I have seen from Iraq or Afghanistan. If even Prissy Mathews noticed it, it is obvious the soldiers in those two places were probably not too keen about being used for the Messiahs photo op. Even in the pictures I saw, there was a noticeable lack of enthusiam about the troops.
Staged is a good word, I like FAKE better.
I think it’s funny that she was blindsided by the “betrayal” and he will be too. The shock to their egos...
Absolutely right. Problem is millions of Americans would believe this crap and nothing could change their minds.
Obama's campaign is prohibiting signs and banners (brought by the crowd) to his Berlin appearance.
The DNC Convention is going to be very controlled to muffle the outcry of the CodePinko and KOSmonut barking moonbats INSIDE the convention.
They'd better watch out. Mayor Daley and the Democrats learned firsthand what the media can do to you and your convention when you try to "control" the coverage of a presidential convention too much.
