I invested in a drilling well, and it took about one year for it to produce.

If you are an ignorant Democrat, devoid of any science, math or engineering knowledge yes.

Rats are the low end of the American productive engine. They have lawyers and socialogists and teachers and other such groups that ride the bus but have no clue as to how to make it run. The illiteria in the Rat house are screwing around under the hood but can’t really tell what they are doing.

Why aren't we drilling for more oil?

Generally speaking, we don't drill for oil at all. Those in the oil business drill for oil.

"We can't drill our way out of our problems"

This from the same fools who believe we can tax ourselves into prosperity.

"We can't drill our way out of our problems"

According to Democrats, $4.00 or more for gas isn't a problem.

Congress, which argues it will simply take too long

Can the Democrats’ constituents persuade them to do the right thing and take advantage of America's vast sources of coal, oil, and gas? If they do you can be sure that ever delay tacit available will be employed to justify their dire prediction.

Hanity talked to people in the know along with others. One year is all it takes if the infrastructure is near four years if no infrastructure.

10 years is the time from “hey I’d like to drill oil” to getting a useful shipment of gasoline. In the mean time you have all the other stuff of figuring out where to drill, finding the pockets, drilling, pumping, laying pipes, refining, shipping, etc. Not to mention all the leases, permits, and contracts.

Now if the oil is already known to be there, bans are removed, most of the infrastructure is already available like pipe lines and warehousing....the real time is more like 18 to 24 months in some areas (Montana, North Dakota, ANWR) according to some insiders I’ve seen and heard interviewed. Five years max and that’s if they work slow.

The GOP needs to get this info out to everyone...yesterday. Put the pressure on Congress to do SOMETHING before November, despite Queen Nancy’s goals.

Yes. One year to do the work, nine years to jump through government hoops.

First, comes an environmental impact report, then initial seismic surveys so companies can decide if they want to bid on them, then bidding on leases, then detailed seismic surveys and analysis of that data, then exploratory drilling and analysis of that data and, finally, production drilling then building of the infrastruction including process units, pumping stations and pipelines.

“does it have to take a decade to bring new crude to market?

yes, if not longer.

commissar nancy has decided that the oil companies are evil and must be nationalized before any drilling may take place. after that, every speck of sand and every small creature must be examined and analyzed by the brilliant, self-proclaimed intellectuals of the democrat party in order to determine any environmental impact. she has also decided that oil is dirty, harmful, hurtful and polluting and detrimental to the health of mother earth and therefore not a priority.

all these processes and procedures would take at least ten years, maybe even fifteen. the brilliant, all-knowing, compassionate, intellectual, smart, bright, superior democrat party has said so. (like it or lump it)
IMHO

If the Democrats really believe that it will currently take 10 years to get oil from newly drilled wells to the market, then should not our elected representatives be looking into what they could do to help bring the oil to market quicker ? Is that not the more important issue ?
