This is a very thoughtful gesture by the Snow family to invite Tony's friends outside of official Washington to join them in celebrating his life.

His family is as gracious in their mourning as Tony was in his life.

I wish I could go, but I live in Los Angeles and can't afford the trip.
What scares me about a public service is the possibility that far left wackos might show up to try and disrupt it.

The media won’t cover the Westboro Baptist
Church freaks, so I hope someone from Free
Republic will have a video camera fixed on
them to capture their reviling trailer trash
antics. Good Youtube fodder.
God bless Tony Snow and his family.

kristinn, is FReeRepublic as an organization doing anything, like flowered wreath or donation to Wounded Warriors or Dana Farber? If so, is there a separate place to donate to that?
This may have been asked and answered previously but I did not see. Thanks.

Yes it is, Dana Perino said her office was overwhelmed with cards and letters during his battle. He will be missed from the supporters like me who never knew him personally, but looked forward to his thoughts, be it on his show or as White House Spokesman. A class act.

I hate to say it, but I hope Code Pink scumbags stay away.
I wouldn’t put it past those sick minds to try something stupid.

I’m so glad this is where it’s going to be held. The Basilica is incredibly beautiful. How fitting for Tony.
To: kristinn
That is a thoughtful gesture I just hope a bunch code pink types don’t show up.

Loved Tony, what a loss. He was a good man and in a far better place now, hoping for comfort and peace for his family in that blessed hope.
