If I were close by, I would be there. What a great gentleman, Tony Snow was!
Code Pink is horrible, but they aren’t that stupid. They’re not yet in the Westboro league.
And my point is that the vast majority of the public will never even know it happened. Of those who do get the news, a large chunk of them will either shrug or agree with the Leftist freaks.
See #30
It’s all covered...we’ve been working all day on it.
From their website:
Seating capacity, Upper Church (approximate): 3,500 persons
Total capacity, Upper Church (approximate): 6,000 persons
It is the largest Catholic church in the United States, the eighth largest religious structure in the world, and the tallest building in Washington, D.C..
I commented before on an earlier thread that Tony was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. Could we organize something, perhaps as part of the FReepathon going on now, and make one large donation from FR to the WW’s in Tony’s memory?
Westboro Baptist Church is nothing more than a liberal front group trying to discredit Christianity.
Thanks BBG!
That’s big! But you can be certain it won’t be close to being big enough. I suppose it will allow many to pass through to pay their respects.
I don’t think they will try...Bill O. was pretty rough on the AP and the LA Times (as was Rush) for their hideous and mean reporting of Tony’s death. Tonight Bill stressed a few times that they will do everything to protect the Snow family.
kristinn, I hope you’ll be representing all of us who can’t be there. Tony was a freeper - one of the best of us.
The secular media will always exploit deviants
who claim the faith. It is a type of persecution
believers must endure.
Tony Snow’s funeral will be a celebration of his
faith in Jesus Christ and will point to the narrow
way of the cross. For those who seek will be found.
From the National Shrine's Web site: "The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the largest Roman Catholic church in the United States and North America, and is one of the ten largest churches in the world."
How many people can it seat?
From the About page:
"Seating capacity, Upper Church (approximate): 3,500 persons
Total capacity, Upper Church (approximate): 6,000 persons"
That would not be allowed under Canon Law.
Perhaps they will play at a memorial service at a later date but not a funeral Mass.
Good-bye, Tony you will be missed! *sniff*
Thanks ELS!
Definitely super-size.
RIP Tony Snow...
RIP Tony Snow
