Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.
I so agree with you, Nord. My first thoughts, of course, are for the incredible loss for his dear wife and children.
But then I think of us. He was an almost perfect spokesman for us---a man of character, humor, great intelligence, principle, charm, incredible communication skills (written and verbal)....and now he is gone. We are fighting a lopsided battle already--and we have lost one of our best warriors.
Oh...yes, that is right, I had forgotten that.
My goodness, he just treated us like part of an extended family and in on all of the plans...
How well I know. My dear Dad died when he was 42 and I was 16. 6’2” = 85 lb. skeleton at death. Many years ago, of course, but I still have huge mixed feelings about the poisonous drugs that are used. I think they may kill all the body’s natural fighting resources.
Not only the flute, but the sax, as well!! When was that performance, do you have any idea? Lord, I really hate that he’s gone so soon!
LOL I remember the cable guy thing! That was too funny!
Just chuckling at your initiation. Reminds me of the Libby trial threads .. LOL.
Prayers for Tony and his family, he was a great guy..........
Just logging on to FR.
Such very sad news which I hoped to never hear. A wonderful, good man taken too soon.
I was privileged to talk to him on his radio show a couple of times. He was always gracious and patient witih his listeners. He had the finest talk radio show I have ever heard, combining his opinions, listeners, interviews, and investigative reporting through Griff Jenkins. I bought a satellite radio just to be able to listen, as I didn’t have broadband at that time.
God bless his family. I know he is being welcomed by the Lord as one who lived his faith and did much good on this earth.
:)
I thought of the “bumper” of the kids saying something like, “you are listening to our daddy”, and when they would be with him in studio , how the kids giggled...
Remember the time he brought them in to the studio and Robbie started singing silly songs? LOL!!
LOL.......... they were so cute!
Indeed Sleuthy a kind and gentle person who was the true meaning of the word gentleman
Now I’m a fast typist, but that would probably take forever! :)
These were just posts that reached out to me, especially my favorite quote from Isaiah 40:28-31, #189 and Tony’s new address - tonysnow@heaven.org #577. I wonder what would happen if I sent an e-mail to it? :)
Actually I wouldn’t be surprised to get an answer, even as I still wouldn’t be surprised to look up on Christmas Eve and see Santa and his reindeer lifting into the sky. I may have grey/white hair, but in my heart there are some things I still believe.
Can’t believe it’s nearly 5, but what better way to spend a day than remembering Tony, reading all these wonderful prayers and tributes, and smiling in between the tears at the humor displayed.
*SNORT*....yes, STARWISE, I was in tears I was so upset about not getting the hang of cutting and pasting from other sites...
YOU and Bahbah were so patient with me...thank you, both.
(I am not much better than I was then....slow learner)
That's one of the best reasons I've ever read for joining FreeRepublic. Welcome.
If you want to be outraged, read some of the absolute vile from some posting about his death on the LA Times site. Just disgusting. Most are good about it, but there are too many hateful people, liberals all that are spewing venom.

Thanks, x. Folks have posted a number of his music videos. He was so talented.
My dad had that same facility to just pick up instruments and play them. I don’t think you can teach that.
Awesome gentleman deserves at least a thousand.. Maybe 10
