The Talk Shows
Sunday, June 29th, 2008
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Gov. Ed Rendell, D-Pa.; former Rep. Rob Portman, R-Ohio; Bob Barr, Libertarian presidential candidate.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Govs. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif., Dave Freudenthal, D-Wyo., and Bill Ritter, D-Colo.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.; retired Gen. Wesley Clark.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; Ralph Nader, independent presidential candidate.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker; Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Govs. Jon Corzine, D-N.J., and Bobby Jindal, R-La.; Terry McAuliffe, campaign chairman for Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I watched Pawlenty with some interest. He started out attacking Obama as a good VP must. Then he was drowned in meaningless verbiage by Rahm Emanuel; RE barely gave Pawlenty time to talk.
I note that Pawlenty and Emanuel have some prior knowledge of one another. Emanuel did something strange on national TV; he periodically touched and and grabbed Pawlenty’s arm. Beats me, but it seemed to be like a halter on Pawlenty.
When he’s done with his CA governor gig, he’ll run for the Senate and will probably win.
It was sad to see the DNC laying off valuable voices from their Propaganda Arm. At least they haven’t had to resort to reporting the Truth.

They didn’t want the words to drown out the music; apparently Barack Obama has an ear for that kind of thing.
Arnold is delusional....his state is crashing and burning and he’ll go down with a nice bipartisan smile on his face. Embarrassing.
Juan remains the village idiot of the panel...Just another crash vehicle dummy.
Pray for W and Our Troops
OMG is that ever scary!!
On the other hand, if the liberals can make researchers in wind. thermal, solar, other alternative energy sources dependent on government grants for their livelihood, then they can turn the energy industry into another PBS.
That’s a gesture of superiority, done purposely to get submission ...and it worked. Pawlenty is too nice of a guy...let himself be run over.
Why doesn’t Pawlenty tell Emanuel to keep his hands off of him? Geez, no way I’d allow that.
Has anyone heard how Cindy Sheehan's campaign is doing? (Not even an echo of "Truth to Power"?) (grin)
And that is their goal, nationalize everything from big oil to wind.
Every once in a while their minions let it out like recently with some of the dumber rat operatives.
Big oil needs to carry the ball for a while. They have unlimited resources to fight the rats and we will stand by their side if they just start going against the destruction of our economy that the rats are engaging in.
I found that off-putting.
Big Oil is the lifeblood of Capitalism. They are Communists who want to Nationalize this Country into their National Socialist Party utopia. They need to destroy America to rebuild it into their communist model.
$5/gal is their worst nightmare, since it is exposing them before they want to be exposed. Even Black Oblack said he was hoping it would hit after the election. This is the perfect issue since every issue is really about energy.
If you like $5/gal, Thank Congress. If you want $10, Vote Obama.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Rohm Emanuel is a nasty ferret of a man and always has been so.
His arms were all over the place on that interview. He has always used verbal and physical bullying tactics.
I like Pawlenty more ever time I hear his speak.
I just wish that someone would use different arguments to refute the charts of how much the rich will “get back” if a Republican tax proposal is enacted.
What they should say is “someone in that tax bracket, George (or whoever interviewer), pays more than 5 MILLION dollars in Federal Income taxes. The numbers that you have put on that chart only mean that they will pay $475,000 in Federal Income taxes. They are and will continue to pay an enormous amount of the total taxes collected by Washington. (I am not using specific numbers here, but they could easily be worked up by RNC advisors!)
Thanks for the thread - now to catch up
