Question of the Day:
Will Stephy ask Rahm to condemn the remarks of Delahunt? Or will Stephy just ignore the egregious remarks of Delahunt?
I’ll try to tune in and see if the issue is raised.
As always, thanks for this threat Alas.
Whoops!
Screwed up the math!
16 Guests .7 democrats, 1 who caucuses with dems, and 1 flaming liberal = 9; versus: 2 RINO Governors, 4 Republicans, 1 Libertarian = 7.
So, in reality it’s 11 for the Left, versus 5 for the Right.
4 Republicans, by the most generous definition. And one is there only to be grilled about castration.
I missed that one.
What did Delahunt say?
9 to 6 is a lot better than it has been. So when do they put Olberman in for Russert on Meet the Press?
Here is part of the transcript Alas. It was from the judiciary committee meeting last week. You can’t tell by the words, but if you watch the video, it is clear beyond a doubt, that Delahunt was inviting AQ to target Addington. It was beyond disgraceful:
DELAHUNT: Was waterboarding one of them?
ADDINGTON: That’s what I’m answering, because I know where you’re headed. As I indicated to the chairman at the beginning of this thing, I’m not in a position to talk about particular techniques, whether they are or aren’t used or could or couldn’t be used or their legal status.
And the reasons I would give for that, if you’ll look at, I think, Exhibit 9, the president’s speech of September 6, 2006, explains why he doesn’t talk about what particular techniques...
DELAHUNT: Oh, I can understand why he doesn’t talk about it.
ADDINGTON: But you’ve got to communicate with Al Qaeda. I can’t talk to you. Al Qaeda may watch “C-SPAN.”
DELAHUNT: Right. Well, I’m sure they are watching and I’m glad they finally have a chance to see you, Mr. .
ADDINGTON: I’m sure you’re pleased.
DELAHUNT: Given your penchant for being unobtrusive.
~snip~
...I almost drove off the road when Delahunt sarcastically told Addington that he was glad al Qaeda finally got the chance to watch him on TV. He can spin it all he wants, but the gloat in his voice is unmistakable.
...
Rep. King rightly called Delahunt on the carpet: Congressman Delahunts live, televised statement to Vice President Cheneys Chief of Staff was an invitation to Al-Qaeda to target him. I wonder if Bill Delahunt is ready to guard Mr. Addingtons home and family.

Snickering at my own typo:
As always, thanks for this threat Alas.
I had the “threat” from Delahunt on my mind.
Of course I mean “thread”!
Morning all and thanks AB for providing the thread as you always do.
Incidentally, I was stationed in his district many years ago. It isn't surprising; I'm sure many of his constituents share his support of our enemies.
The list of guests today is like aversion therapy.
For anyone trying to wean away from Sunday morning shows, this week is a wonderful week to start.
I read about that; Delahunt is trying to spin his way out of what he said and of course the lamestream media is letting him get away with it. I would hope that when Congress returns after the 4th of July vacation (Hey, I only get ONE day off, not FIVE!) Boehner takes to the floor of the house to censure Delahunt. If he doesn’t, he is not the man I thought he might/could be.
Yup.
Could you imagine what it would be like if us here from the Sunday thread could ask the questions?
Even with the same guests it would a lot more interesting, informative, and educational.
It has been said that the biased support of the dems by the driveby media give an additional 15 percent to them at election time. I don’t doubt it for a second.
Some day it would be great just to see these so-called journalists actually behave like they ‘believe” they do; fair and unbiased. But that would probably mean the end of the democratic party as we know it.
I would not bet on it. Nor do I anticipate any questions exposing the lies and misinformation concerning drilling for oil and gas. Hope I’m wrong and I’m sure you will let us know if I am. I take my hat off to your ability to stomach watching some of these programs.
We really don't need them anymore they need us.
One of the issues I have been thinking about this week is that we can get a lot of mileage by parading a steady stream of "victims"(using the rats own devices against them as GW does so well)before the public.
My industry would be a perfect example.
Two years ago we sold all the things it takes to go fishing for the day from boats and motors to fishing tackle. People would troll in their fishing boats all day, come in with fish and do it all over again the next week.
Now of course at $5.00 for diesel and $4.00 for gas that's all out of the question. Many in my industry are going broke and all because the dems(through rat environmentalist terrorist lawyers) have blocked every avenue there is to drill!
We have to expose what is going on(a supply vs. demand imbalance) in front of the public and the dems as usual, will cave.
