t is now a virtual certainty that the "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign as authentic is a photoshopped fake.
The image, purporting to come from the Hawaii Department of Health, has been the subject of intense skepticism in the blogosphere in the past two weeks.
It has become even more suspect with the revelation that variations of the certificate image were posted on the Photobucket image aggregation website -- including one listing the location of Obama's birth as Antarctica, one with the certificate supposedly issued by the government of North Korea, and another including a purported photo of baby Barack -- one of which has a "photo taken" time-stamp just two minutes before the article and accompanying image was posted on the left-wing Daily Kos blog.
That strongly suggests that Daily Kos obtained the image from Photobucket, not the State of Hawaii, the Obama family, or the Obama campaign. Photobucket is not known as a credible supplier of official vital records for any of the fifty states, and the liberties that other Photoshoppers took with the certificates confirms this.

While interesting, his birth certificate is not that important.
As long as his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth, wherever that might have been, he is a U.S. citizen. Unless he renounced it at some time since then.

New York State birth certificates (at least mine) has the birth hospital listed.
It’s real, really from the Department of Health.
But it’s not properly certified.
Some clerk made it, passed it to the Obama people.

Barack Obama is not a legal U.S. natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between December 24, 1952, to November 13, 1986. Federal Law requires that the office of President requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. Citizen parents. This is what exempts John McCain, though he was born in the US Panama Canal Zone.
US Law very clearly states: ‘. . . If only one parent is a U.S. Citizen at the time of one’s birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for minimum ten years, five of which must be after the age of 16.’ Barack Obama’s father was not a U.S. Citizen is a fact.
Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born. This means even though she had been a U.S. Citizen for 10 years, (or citizen of Hawaii being a territory), his mother fails the test for at-least-5-years- prior-to Barack Obama’s birth, but-after-age-16.
In essence, Mother alone is not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. Citizenship. At most, 2 years elapsed from his mother turning 16 to the time of Barack Obama’s birth when she was 18. His mother would have needed to have been 16 + 5 = 21 years old at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to be a natural-born citizen. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at the time his mother would have needed to be to allow him natural citizenship from his only U.S. Citizen parent. Obama should have been naturalized as a citizen . . . but that would disqualify him from holding the office.
The Constitution clearly declares: Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, any other information does not matter because his mother is the one who must fulfill the requirement to be a U.S. Citzen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16.
Further, Obama may have had to have remained in the USA for some time frame to protect any citizenship he might have had, rather than living in Indonesia. This is very clear cut and a glaring violation of U.S. Election law. I think the Governor Schwarzenegger of California should be very interested in discovering if Obama is allowed to be elected President without being a natural-born U.S. Citizen, since this would set a precedent. Stay tuned to your TV sets because I suspect some of this information will be leaking through over the next several days.

So he can put a forgery on his website as ‘proof’ and suffer no consequences?
...only if he was born outside the U.S. If he was born in Hawaii, he is a natural born citizen regardless.
It’s really curious that, with the hundreds of millions of dollars he’s raised, that he couldn’t have hired a really good forgerer to produce a counterfeit certificate that would pass the toughest inspection. Instead, the campaign got this cheap forgery that any computer newbie could produce with any graphics program in a few minutes.
He absolutely should produce the original paper copy and put an end to this speculation. The cheap fake on his web site doesn’t resolve this problem.
There is some question on that. But regardless, there is no proof he was born outside the U.S. to begin with so that law doesn't apply.
His VP would be sworn in.
But that scenario begs the question as to why would he be so motivated to become president?
Does he go to jail for fraud, tried for treason?

Actually, you must prove your citizenship. But you are still missing the point. This document is from the Barack Obama campaign website. If it is a forgery, that’s a really big deal.

Submitted for your consideration... An elderly Zillionaire, who wants to be President of the United States. However, he is not a natural born citizen, and is thus prevented from running, and even if he could he could not spend enough of his own money to win under public financing rules.
So he runs a patsy for President, and spends enough money to ensure he will win. But he is careful to choose somebody who is also not a natural born citizen, knowing that the Congress will remove the requirement rather than throw out the results of a national election. Thus one bar is removed. He also has this candidate opt out of public financing, thus guaranteeing the death of that system. Thus another bar is removed...
(cue eerie music...)
Perhaps Soros is just laying the groundwork for Soros 2012!
