Had Toni Vernelli gone ahead with her pregnancy ten years ago, she would know at first hand what it is like to cradle her own baby, to have a pair of innocent eyes gazing up at her with unconditional love, to feel a little hand slipping into hers - and a voice calling her Mummy.

Probably the most sensible thing this woman has ever done. Actually, not a bad idea: sterilize the libs so their stupid ideas die with them. I, on the other hand, raised two, wonderful, produtive, well-adjusted, conservative members of society.
I actually know a woman who has done the same. I believe they actually suffer from chronic depression, and this action and excuse of “worrying about the planet” is simply a manifestation of that mental illness.
I would bet the woman featured in this article is the same.
FR is horribly user-unfriendly - and that’s just another reason why.
(While some might think it strange to celebrate the reversal of nature and denial of motherhood, Toni relishes her decision with an almost religious zeal.)
Not “almost”. It is a religion for them.
Well, I’m not a computer expert, but this is really the only thing I’ve had trouble with posting on FR (unless the server gets overly excited and crashes for me when really important breaking news happens)...I’m sure JohnRob has an explanation for why this happens on the search feature sometimes. :-)
Only if they end their lives “to save the planet”. However, if the stupid woman can convince other watermelons to sterilize themselves before they have children, let her live.
LoL Xena, perfect way to put it. I always try to think of witty responses as to why my wife and I don't have kids yet. I'll have re remember that.
Really stupid women pay some swingin you know what to stay and have sex with them because their own husbands won’t get them pregnant.
Don’t punish them with a baby.
27 and 31? Why the sensors on their left hands should have started flashing years ago. Logan, get on it.
Meet the women who won’t have babies - because they’re not eco friendly

quick ping. This is what some of these organizations are about, removing humans (except themselves or they’d commit suicide for the environment)from the earth.
This article says this girl works for an “environmental” group. Reporters always do this. Animal rights activist is more like it. An animal rights agenda is NOT good for the environment.
Like the other posters say, at least they are cleansing the gene pool. Darwin was right.
These people have no idea how insignificant we are.
If they had any idea just how old this earth is and how small the window of time is that humans have walked it...
If a tape measure stretched out two miles long that represnted the life span of the earth, humankind’s presence would occupy the last 1/16 of an inch.
IMHO, those people who worry about the erf
are just a bunch of neurotics that don’t have any REAL problems to worry about.
All that previous time was preparing the earth for us to use - including OIL, fossil fuels, water, trees, animals... well, everything.
But then, it's not really about the planet, is it?

Here’s the introduction to Idiocracy — the women described in the article remind me of the yuppie couple that goes extinct:

“Meet the women who won’t have babies - because they’re not eco friendly”
thought one: “I’m OK with that”
thought two: “Darwin wins”

I know they mock President Bush but the message overall is worth considering.
