Mike Barnicle has some campaign advice for John McCain: don't say anything bad about Barack. The former Boston Globe columnist, with a heartfelt second from Mika Brzezinski, wants the world to know that he's heard enough about Reverends Wright and Pfleger, not to mention Bill Ayers, and thinks McCain would "win a few points" for staying away from all that stuff and concentrating on the important issues facing Americans—like better batteries.
Barnicle made his suggestion on today's Morning Joe in commenting on an audio clip of Obama warning a crowd this past Friday that the Republicans will, among other misdemeanors, play the race card against him and accuse him of having a "feisty wife."

I don’t think McCain has “to go negative”, all he has to do is point out certain facts about Obammy. He just has to ask certain pertinent questions about O’Baloney’s background and connections and experience. Just point those out to the general public.
Sometimes I think McCain suffers from the same disease Bush has and that’s being too polite and nice. Wanting to be too honorable.
I think the US and Western civilization is fighting for our survival and if Obammy wins we’re going to be in a major pile of fecal matter.
On Barry’s use of the race card, RUSH: This guy is diabolical...this is a disgrace and people should be furious.
He doesn't only copy, sometimes he makes stuff up.
I remember reading one of his columns in The Globe (and really kinda liking it) but I could not help thinking to myself, at the time "This is made up, this is pure apocrypha."
If I knew it, his editors darn sure shudda. That none of them got fired speaks volumes about the standards at the LSM.

McCain will attack Obama on policy, while calling him a good American, just misguided.
The other groups will do all the attacking on the good Rev, the socialist ties etc etc. And of course, McCain will be “concerned” about the ads, but of course, he has no control over them.
That helps McCain go for the center and motivate the right at the same time.
You’ll love this. Sometime later in the morning one of the reporterettes threw up the new poll basically saying that 30% of Americans are racists and then played the clip of Obama telling the crowd that Republicans were going to use race against him.
The reporterette asks Eugene Robinson if Republicans would really use race against him. Robinson says oh no, of course not. Things aren’t like they were years ago. But he goes on to say that “they” will use code words to do the same thing.
What might those code words consist of? Well, says Eugene, you will hear things like “do we really know who Obama is” and you will hear such nefarious “coded” messages repeated. When they are repeated, then you will know “they” are using his race against him.
It doesn’t matter what McCain does, it will be called racist. In that case, go with both barrels loaded.

To add my two cents to what you said, McCain is now up against the Daley Chicago political machine. He isn’t even close to being smart enough to deal with it, and is most likely toast in November. His stupid obsession to being outwardly civil only adds to the perception of cluelessness.
Often, people who graduate near the bottom of their Service academy classes go on nonetheless to blossom as officers and have very successful and distinguished careers, suggesting that they were just bored or biding their time for the real show. In McCain’s case, however, it wasn’t for nothing that he graduated so low in his class.
Today’s test question:
If Barnicle makes something up and then Goodwin copies it, and then Barnicle uses Goodwin as his source, which one is the liar and which one is the plagiarist?
Barnicle doesn’t want to hear it because he know’s it will be effective. Get ready Mike, here it comes!
