On the day that fliers announced a registered sex offender had moved into a Puyallup neighborhood, a woman welcomed him with an aluminum baseball bat.

"I kept swingin' and swingin' and swingin," court documents say Tammy Gibson told police, who arrested her in Cottonwood Mobile Home Park.
Gibson has been charged with second-degree assault and felony harassment

I hope she cleans up well for the jury...
Well, at least she didn’t use a gun. /sarc/
Good for her.
It’s easy to talk about working within the system and vigilante justice being wrong when a pervert who rapes 5 year olds is moving in next to somebody else’s kids.
You’ll notice the liberals who’ve given us the catch and release justice system invariably live on the other side of the blue line from the neighborhoods where these animals are released to.
Something’s fishy. No 7-foot guy is going to be beaten to a pulp by a woman with a baseball bat unless her first blow happened to be to his head and he was practically knocked out by the blow, or unless he wanted to be beaten up by her. No 6-foot guy either. I mean, c’mon.
OK - so she can beat the crap out of a guy with an aluminum bat - anyone can do that - let’s see her do it with a wood bat - that’s where you separate the men from the boys so to speak.
According to the article: Then she accused him of molesting her children and beat him with the bat, according to court documents.
Heck, the bat was probably the least she could do.

If this man did indeed molest her children, as well as the five year old he raped, she is pre-emptively protecting her children. Or performing the punishment the state did not do properly.
Wrong dude, sorry..I said Lurch, NOT John Kerry...(G)
Uh, yeah . . . sounds like she was the one that committed the crime!
Unreal...LOL..I read your first post, with the two pics...then replied, THEN saw you’d already added Kerry...Amazing..great minds do think alike..LOL
You’re cute when you talk dirty....wink.
Or a knee, or an elbow....

Oh where can I go to contribute to her legal defense fund ... wife and I really admire this gal’s spunk!
She committed one of the crimes.
Putting a child molester in a child rich environment is also a crime. It may not be technically against the law, but it’s still a crime.
The TV news story went into greater detail.
The guy moved in, and nobody knew who he was.
A female neighbor saw him chatting up the gals 10 year old daughter ... nothing wrong with that ...
Then later they got the flyer saying the guy was a convicted sex offender ... she walked straight over to the minor’s mother, showed her the flyer, and told her about the guy chatting up the daughter. Mother grabbed baseball bat and went to pay the perp a visit.
His father answered the door, she asked for him, when he came to the door, she started swining.
I know there are some on here calling her trailer trash, but quite frankly, I think she is a great mother.
According to police, Baldwin was on parole for forcing his 5-year-old neighbor to touch him sexually when he lured another 5-year-old into a backyard doghouse, where he sexually assaulted her.
Not to get too technical . . . but how the heck does a 7'3" man get into a doghouse???
So once they have served their time, where do you propose they live? On a commune?
Criticize too short of sentences if you want, but I'm not sure anyone should be limited on where to live once they are free.

re: the changing story that this guy had, and then had not, molested her children. As has been pointed out, SOMETHING set this woman off. Perhaps she was a nut.
On the other hand, perhaps this guy did molest her children, she went to hurt him, succeeded, and the realized that whatever child had just been molested would henceforth be tagged as “damaged goods.” I’m not defending the characterization of a molested child as “damaged goods,” but, let’s be honest, the molested child would have an approximately 100% chance of being whispered about, rumored about, and likely shunned in school for the foreseeable future.
So, based on that guess, it is possible that the mother decided to take the rap, and deny that there ever was molestation. Frankly, I think I might do the same thing. Better for the “community” to think a child has an angry, vindictive parent than to think the child was a rape victim, in my opinion.
Just another possibility.
