Guess someone didn't remember rule 3 of gun safety - finger off trigger until ready to shoot.

>> “This is the first that I’ve heard of a robbery suspect killing himself as he is drawing a gun out of his waist band,” Lt. Brimmer said.

Let’s hope this is a trend.

The next-of-kin will sue the homeowner—and a judge will rule in favor of the burglar.

Can’t. In Texas it is illegal to sue for damages incurred while you were committing a crime.

A classic 'hold muh beer' moment, and no one was even there to hold it for him. That yahoo was so inept, he doesn't even qualify for an initial Darwin Award ballot.

I hope the homeowner sues the burglar’s family for undue stress, cleanup damages, vandalism repair, etc.

Don't forget the lawsuit against the pants manufacturer.

No prob. The search feature can be sketchy at times.

That thread does have some funny posts (considering the circumstances.)

The really happy ending, is that the perp didn’t die instantly and had time to examine his mistakes in life, endure a little pain and maybe make peace with his maker.
All and all a touching story.
Now in the UK..the home owner would be in jail for implying that he would use force.

Gee...another mispent youth! Wonder if this will be classified as an “accidential shooting” or suicide by the Brady campaign?
