Dozens of youths and police have clashed in northern France, leaving nine people injured.
Around 60 cars went up in flames as youths went on a rampage in the streets of Vitry-le-Francois, some 200 kilometres north of the capital Paris.
The youths, armed with baseball bats and Molotov cocktails, were only scattered after dozens of security forces quelled the unrest.
The scuffles broke out after a young man was murdered on Saturday evening.

They appear north African. Doubt they are Christians. Doubt they're Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, Zoroastrians, Jains, Gaia worshipers ... Doubt they're atheists or agnostics. They just don't look black to me, and I don't think their race is the problem, anyway. It's one of the "Prophet's" probing attacks.

Maybe they are tired of all the internet rumors that they are Muslims and desire that people know the facts.

I’m on vacation, so I’ve been staying up a little later every night. Plus I’m in California, so it’s not even midnight yet.

"Why should murders cause widespread riots? Did the 60 torched cars cause the murders?" Raping and murdering Jews, Christians, and other infidels is OK in France, but when a Muslim thug is shot, well, that just isn't tolerated...

Here’s a video: http://www.leparisien.fr/home/info/faitsdivers/articles/EMEUTES-A-VITRY-LE-FRANCOIS-UNE-VILLE-SOUS-LE-CHOC_298569709
So, one guy shoots another guy, (a 20 year old youth) and then the “youth’s” friends go on a rampage burning the neighbor’s cars, burning signs and threatening to burn people who step in to stop it.
The authorities weren’t involved in any way except to put out the fires and disperse the rioters.
The shooter has been arrested.
Yea, they’re probably Muslims in that they come from Muslim countries as the rioters in American cities are Baptists because they’re black. Whatever.
You know, if those youths rioted like that in their home countries, Algeria, Morocco etc. the local cops would beat them to a pulp! I have friends who grew up there, for the slightest thing the cops just unload on you and you spend three days in a cell with an Arab bubba. The French cops are tough for sure, but nothing compared to the cops down there.
Thus, one of the reasons they want to stay in France, they get away with everything.

A little more detail here, but not much.
A police union issued a statement denouncing what it termed as "hysteria" in relations between French youth and police.
"This started out as a murderous settling of scores," said Nicolas Comte of the SGP-FO police union. "But quickly this tragic event prompted a violent group to attack police with baseball bats and molotov cocktails as young bystanders watched passively, like spectactors to the 'riot show'," said Comte.
He linked the latest outbreak to the 2005 suburban riots, France's worst unrest in decades, when poor immigrant-heavy areas around Paris and other major cities exploded into three weeks of violence.
"Nothing has been resolved since. The fire is still burning under the ashes," said Comte. (Deportation and ending all government support should cool off those tempers.)
About 250 people took part in a silent march in Vitry-le-Francois on Sunday, led by the victim's mother who wept as she walked holding a photograph of her son through the low-income neighbourhood of Rome-Saint-Charles.
The last time there was major rioting was in the Paris suburb of Villiers-le-Bel in November when two teenagers riding a motorbike died after they collided with a police car. The incident led to three days of riots. (Can you believe that? Two kids have a wreck and kill themselves, so the locals riot. Amazing attitude the ROP has.)
More than 100 police officers were injured in Villiers-le-Bel when rioters armed with hunting rifles and pellet guns opened fire, a new, worrisome turn in the ongoing clashes with police in the suburbs. (That is reason to shoot to kill, except not in France.)

The difference between Paris, and, say, Nashville, is that in Nashville, the general population is well armed and won’t tolerate riots. There’s be several dead “youths” and no witnesses.

I hope Mr. Sarkozy clamps down hard and fast on these “youths” and then kicks them out of his country.
All new immigration should have a 3 year probationary period during which time anyone caught committing such acts can have their citizenship revoked.
