Barack Obama said Thursday at a fundraiser in Chicago that the GOP is trying to make him and his wife Michelle appear "scary" and "too black."

"They’re going to try to make me into a scary guy. They’re even trying to make Michelle into a scary person. Right?" Obama said at an event in the Hyde Park area, according to CNN.

Obama said Republicans were trying to start a drumbeat questioning Obama's patriotism and whether he is "too black."

"I don’t know, before I wasn’t black enough," Obama said. The Illinois senator then suggested Republicans might say, "'now he might be too black.'"

Uhmmmm...Barack...Barry...whatever your name is. You're the one who joined the Black Liberation Theology church. You're the one who adopted its “black value system.”

Barry....people judge you by what you've done in the past. People notice. Especially when you're the Democratic nominee.

And remember how Bill Clinton played the race card in the primaries. Comparing Obama to Jesse Jackson’s campaigns for president was a not too subtle comparison of a characteristic they share.

And Hillary said how “hard working Americans, white Americans” were behind her campaign. It sure seems like fellow Democrats have kept reminding us that Obama is black/African-American/Halfrican American/something other than vanilla.
