Vanity: Tipping Point Against McCain
06/11/208 | C19fan

I was going to put on the gas mask and pull the lever for McCain this November but events of the past few days have led me not to vote for him.

1: McCain speaking at the racist, reconquista La Raza conference. 2: McCain still opposed to drilling in ANWR and comparing it to drilling in the Grand Canyon despite $4 + and climbing gas prices. Accoring to NRO Corner when asked about this he seemed peeved someone would have the audacity to ask him that question. 3: McCain giving veto power to coastal states on offshore drilling. The US owns these waters not the states. 4: McCain seemingly on board supporting windfall profits taxes and making a fascist statement that the government has the right to tell oil companies how they should invest in their money.

To be totally honest I live in CA where Obama is going to crush McCain but this will be the first time I do not vote for the GOP candidate for POTUS.

So what do you do? vote for Obama? That is a sure way to put liberal judges on the bench!

Stay home and don’t vote?

I will vote for McCain...he will appoint the right kind of Judges we need.

I don’t agree with all the things he says, but I don’t agree with anything Obama says!

I vote my conscience and write someone in. I don’t trust McCain on judges any more than I do Obama. Perhaps I’ll be wonderfully wrong abou the man, but I truly do not see that happening.

You can't possibly be that stupid.

So, being that you are being honest, who will you vote for?

Let’s review - a vote for McCain will help him get elected, not voting for McCain either by not voting at all or voting for Obama will assure that McCain doesn’t not get elected. So, it appears that your logic will result in Obama a POTUS. Is that now your goal?

Therefore, you’ve gone through all of Obama’s proposals as well as McCain’s well documented negatives and Obama wins? If that’s true, trust me, you are a closet democrat, probably a good thing since you live in CA.

If you are looking for input, think this through once again.

I agree McCain will do slightly less damage than Obama. And Obama will significantly hurt my family because he has promised to tax us out of existance.

Still I can not vote for MCcain whom I detest and 1. reward his calculated spitting in the collective conservative face 2. send the message to the GOP and that, yeah, we really do love this reaching across the aisle, compassionate LIB LITE crao that they are shoving down our throats.

McCain's history shows me that he would nominate a small number of good judges. Then, when they met opposition, he would replace them with judges that please his Dim friends. He places "getting things done" above any agenda, any person, or even the best interest of the country.

Are you serious?

First, is there really any doubt that conservatives are unhappy with McCain and the choices that the parties have presented to conservatives? You know, the conservatives don't have a party with the GOP only close to what we need when they are ‘right’ on all the issues and solidly supporting their own platform.

Why would you want to send a message to re-state an established fact? Why not, instead, go for a compromise that will assist you and your family in some way during the next 4-8 years? Why vote for Obama with not voting at all the same thing when he is dedicated to tax you out into the street and appoint Supreme Court judges that will eat your lunch?

Frankly, I don't think that conservatives are a significant voting block any longer. If we were, we would have a candidate and we do not. Therefore, a compromise must be made with the next 4-8 years really important, politically speaking. You need to re-consider and vote for McCain.
