Think it's hot outside? "Good Morning America" wants you to think it is your fault - at least that's why an expert featured on the June 9 show told viewers it is hotter outside.
Stanford University professor Dr. Stephen Schneider said that methane and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are making hot temperatures even hotter.
"While this heat wave like all other heat waves is made by Mother Nature, we've been fooling around by turning the knob and making a little bit hotter," Schneider said. "[W]e've already increased by 35 percent the amount of carbon dioxide which traps heat. We've added 150 percent more methane, which also traps heat."
Ironically, in 1971, Schneider co-authored a research article that explored both warming and cooling of the Earth, warning that a certain level of aerosols entering the atmosphere could trigger an ice age.
The heat that Schneider tied to greenhouse gas emissions resulted in some people being treated for heat stroke during a charity run, according to ABC weatherman Sam Champion.
"Now, people did try to get out in the heat over the weekend and a lot folks were out playing around in it," Champion said. "But at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Washington, D.C., 34 people had to be pulled from the race to be treated for heat stroke."
Climate ImageHowever, Dr. Roy Spencer, the principal research scientist for the University of Alabama at Huntsville, told the Business & Media Institute that making a connection between the East Coast heat wave and emissions was "too much."
"This is the alarmists' standard answer," Spencer said. "But the area of unusually cool weather out West is much larger in extent than the area of warm weather in the east - an inconvenient truth, you might say."
Liberal leftist academia just keeps pumping the money handle — the scam continues.

No way! So what is that bright, burning light that I see in the sky during the daytime here in California?
Pathetic.
The reporter in the field pointed out that it was so hot that a couple sunbathers went to seek shade.
Literally. Live, national news. 2 sunbathers go sit in the shade. Reporter: breathlessly stunned.
Maybe I should send the professor a copy of this email I received this morning.
The water froze the instant the wave broke through the
ice.
*THAT’S WHAT IT IS LIKE IN ANTARTICA WHERE IT IS THE
COLDEST WEATHER IN DECADES.*
Water freezes the instant it comes in contact with the air. The temperature of the water is already some degrees below freezing.
My husband and I were happily married twenty four years ago today. It was 109 degrees at 11 AM in Boston, today it was 98 degrees at the same time!
Don’t even try and tell me that this weather ain’t cyclical!!
The Celtics wer also in the process of dimantling the Lakers!
What a great week!
ABSTRACT:
"Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the product of oceanic respiration due to the well-known but under-appreciated solubility pump. Carbon dioxide rises out of warm ocean waters where it is added to the atmosphere. There it is mixed with residual and accidental CO2, and circulated, to be absorbed into the sink of the cold ocean waters. Next the thermohaline circulation carries the CO2-rich sea water deep into the ocean. A millennium later it appears at the surface in warm waters, saturated by lower pressure and higher temperature, to be exhausted back into the atmosphere. Throughout the past 420 millennia, comprising four interglacial periods, the Vostok record of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration is imprinted with, and fully characterized by, the physics of the solubility of CO2 in water, along with the lag in the deep ocean circulation.
Notwithstanding that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, atmospheric carbon dioxide has neither caused nor amplified global temperature increases. Increased carbon dioxide has been an effect of global warming, not a cause. Technically, carbon dioxide is a lagging proxy for ocean temperatures. When global temperature, and along with it, ocean temperature rises, the physics of solubility causes atmospheric CO2 to increase.
If increases in carbon dioxide, or any other greenhouse gas, could have in turn raised global temperatures, the positive feedback would have been catastrophic. While the conditions for such a catastrophe were present in the Vostok record from natural causes, the runaway event did not occur. Carbon dioxide does not accumulate in the atmosphere."

The graph above represents temperature and CO2 levels over the past 400,000 years. It is the same exact data Al Gore and the rest of the man-made global warmers refer to. The blue line is temps, the red CO2 levels. The deep valleys represent 4 separate glaciation periods. Now look very carefully at this relationship between temps and CO2 levels and keep in mind that Gore claims this data is the 'proof' that CO2 has warmed the earth in the past. But does the graph indeed show this? Nope. In fact, rising CO2 levels all throughout this 400,000 year period actually lagged behind temperature increases ...by an average of 800 years! So it couldn't have been CO2 that got Earth out of these 4 past glaciations. Yet Gore dishonestly and continually claims otherwise.-ETL

"The above chart shows the range of global temperature through the last 500 million years. There is no statistical correlation between the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere through the last 500 million years and the temperature record in this interval. In fact, one of the highest levels of carbon dioxide concentration occurred during a major ice age that occurred about 450 million years ago. Carbon dioxide concentrations at that time were about 15 times higher than at present.":

So, greenhouse [effect] is all about carbon dioxide, right?
Wrong. The most important players on the greenhouse stage are water vapor and clouds. Carbon dioxide has been increased to about 0.038% of the atmosphere (possibly from about 0.028% pre-Industrial Revolution) while water in its various forms ranges from 0% to 4% of the atmosphere and its properties vary by what form it is in and even at what altitude it is found in the atmosphere.
In simple terms the bulk of Earth's greenhouse effect is due to water vapor by virtue of its abundance. Water accounts for about 90% of the Earth's greenhouse effect -- perhaps 70% is due to water vapor and about 20% due to clouds (mostly water droplets), some estimates put water as high as 95% of Earth's total tropospheric greenhouse effect (e.g., Freidenreich and Ramaswamy, 'Solar Radiation Absorption by Carbon Dioxide, Overlap with Water, and a Parameterization for General Circulation Models,' Journal of Geophysical Research 98 (1993):7255-7264).
The remaining portion comes from carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, ozone and miscellaneous other 'minor greenhouse gases.' As an example of the relative importance of water it should be noted that changes in the relative humidity on the order of 1.3-4% are equivalent to the effect of doubling CO2.

Water Vapor Rules the Greenhouse System
Water vapor constitutes Earth's most significant greenhouse gas, accounting for about 95% of Earth's greenhouse effect (4). Interestingly, many 'facts and figures' regarding global warming completely ignore the powerful effects of water vapor in the greenhouse system, carelessly (perhaps, deliberately) overstating human impacts as much as 20-fold.
Water vapor is 99.999% of natural origin. Other atmospheric greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and miscellaneous other gases (CFC's, etc.), are also mostly of natural origin (except for the latter, which is mostly anthropogenic).
Human activites contribute slightly to greenhouse gas concentrations through farming, manufacturing, power generation, and transportation. However, these emissions are so dwarfed in comparison to emissions from natural sources we can do nothing about, that even the most costly efforts to limit human emissions would have a very small-- perhaps undetectable-- effect on global climate.
PIMF..Duh...”were”
It’s very cold for June here in Western Canada. Nothing but rain. Usually it is uncomfortably warm this time of year.
Notice the GW nut cases were nowhere to be found when last winter was the coldest in many, many years.
What heat wave? It’s 71 freaking degrees here in Texas. That’s wintry conditions for June.
Want proof of global warming? Well, here it is!
January, average daytime temp 40 deg F
February, average daytime temp 47 deg F
March, average daytime temp 55 deg F
April, average daytime temp 65 deg F
May, average daytime temp 75 deg F
June, average daytime temp 84 deg F
July, average daytime temp +90 deg F
See, that PROVES that man cause globull warming is real!!!
Accuweather Meteorologist Joe Bastardi has been vehement about how it isn't possible to tie any current weather event to climate change, because weather itself has so much variability. He takes off on “point & click” meteorologists who strictly forecast the models, then tie Global Warming into it! Basically, it's too soon to know if there is long-term climate change because the KNOWN climate cycles are so long.
This winter, our portion of the globe will be facing away and temps will drop to new lows- freezing the iguanas and howler monkeys that moved north to vote for Hillary.
WHAT an IDIOT.....we in the Northwest have just suffered through the coolest spring on record since 1894!!! And, further.....the forecast is for more of the same....course, he doesn’t look outside his little 150 mile radius I guess.
I remember May 5, 1971 or ‘72. It was 105 degrees in Tulsa that week. A heat wave.
A few years later, in 1978, May 1 it was about 40 degrees in NE Oklahoma.
About 1983, it was 116 degrees in NE Oklahoma that summer.
In 1956-’58 the first snow always fell within a week before or after Thanksgiving.
In 2007 snow fell within one week of Thanksgiving.
Global Warming is bunk.
You got that right! My tomatoes could use some global warming right now. What a moron.
Where was this clown last Friday, when it was so cold up here in southern NH that my furnace kicked on?
