Here's an odd Obama controversy I hadn't yet heard about. Apparently, the Lamb of Chicago has not released his Hawaii birth certificate despite several media requests. Jim Geraghty thinks it would end several persistent rumors concerning his birth.
Although Geraghty makes some good points, Exurban League's research interns have uncovered several reasons Obama is keeping it under wraps.

Well, his BC either has a name/signature on the ‘attending physician’ line or not. If she landed and went straight to the hospital, claiming she delivered him at home in HI and just hadn’t made it to the hospital yet, there cannot be an attending D.O. It would say ‘home delivery’.

No. Due to privacy concerns you generally have to be a member of the family to request a birth certificate. I am sure that is the case for Hawaii.

The chances are slim, anyway, that whomever qualifies people to run for POTUS would have missed this.
His family could also produce parental passports from his birthday that do NOT have customs stamps on them.

Who is Eligible to Apply for Certified Copies of Vital Records?
A certified copy of a vital record (birth, death, marriage, or divorce certificate) is issued only to an applicant who has a direct and tangible interest in the record. The following persons are considered to have such an interest:
* the registrant (the person whom the record is concerned with);
* the registrant’s spouse;
* the registrant’s parent(s);
* a descendant of the registrant (e.g., a child or grandchild);
* a person having a common ancestor with the registrant (e.g., a sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, or cousin);
* a legal guardian of the registrant;
* a person or agency acting on behalf of the registrant;
* a personal representative of the registrant’s estate;
* a person whose right to obtain a copy of the record is established by an order of a court of competent jurisdiction;
* adoptive parents who have filed a petition for adoption and need to determine the death of one or more of the prospective adopted child’s natural or legal parents;
* a person who needs to determine the marital status of a former spouse in order to determine the payment of alimony;
* a person who needs to determine the death of a nonrelated co-owner of property purchased under a joint tenancy agreement; and
* a person who needs a death certificate for the determination of payments under a credit insurance policy.
If you are not able to establish a direct and tangible interest in the record, you are ineligible and will not be issued a certified copy of the record.
Upon request, a letter of verification attesting to the existence of a requested record on file with the Department of Health may be issued. Instructions for applying for letters of verification are included in the next section and immediately follow the set of instructions on applying for certified copies. The same eligibility requirements apply for both ceritified copies and verification letters.
A search of the records on file with the Department of Health will only be conducted to process an application requesting either a certified copy or a letter of verification. If the search establishes that the requested record is not on file, you will be notified that no record has been found. No searches of the records on file with the Department of Health will be conducted prior to or outside of the receipt of an application and payment of fees.

If he's not going to be straight with us, we need to learn as much as we can ourselves.

I think his unwillingness to release his birth certificate, has nothing to with race or religion but what is actually staring us right in the face. Namely that he and William Jefferson Clinton have much in common. That is an very quick birth, the date of his conception is really the problem. I think he was in the oven, when they got hitched.
However just last week my daughters best friend since 3rd grade came by to see me after graduating college. Both her parents are Liberals as well. She knows I am always glued to the news and ask me about the upcoming election.
She made the comment she did not know which one she would vote for but would vote for a (D). When I ask he why she said well I alway have because my parents do. I started showing her stuff about Obama and she was stunned. While I had her attention I kept the info coming until I thought she might be on overload.
I explained that the reason I was only showing her stuff on him was because it was apparent he would win the Dem ticket. She looked somewhat defeated and finally ask me well who should I vote for?
I told her that had to be her decision but before she did vote from now on she needed to do some research. I think she is still in a state of shock over some of the things she has learned about him. I then ask her if she would feel safe with him in control for 4 years and her reply was no way.
Yes, the nation really needs to know the exact name listed on that birth certificate!! Was he really Barack at that time, was he really Obama, or were those names picked up by him later when he wanted to appear non-white? What middle name(s) appear on the certificate? Was he really born in Hawaii?
Let’s have the facts!!!
The fact that she’s willing to actually listen to facts is a good sign - there may be hope for this one after all. :^)
Even if the stories we have been told are correct, at a minimum Barry’s father is a bigamist under US law. US law does not recognize polygamy.
Where are the marriage and divorce records? Is Obama really who he says he is? Journalists should demand the answers and the documents. Obama’s team managed to trash his first Republican opponent in the IL senate race over some divorce records — time to demand that Obama’s family past receive the same scrutiny.
Or, were Barry’s parents not really married? Or, do we not even know the real story about who his parents were and where he was born? Do we know his real name? Is “Barack Obama” on his birth certificate? What middle name(s)? What religion is listed on the certificate? Was he really born in Hawaii?
There is just so much we don’t really know about this guy — this is just the tip of the iceberg..... (the iceberg may be meltiing due to global warming but we still need to see all the facts before the guy can be allowed to reach the Presidency).
