A crack team of cybernauts will form a rapid response internet “war room” to track and respond aggressively to online rumours that Barack Obama is unpatriotic and a Muslim.
As he gears up for his general election fight against John McCain, Mr Obama and his chief advisers are aware of the danger of such rumours, amid polling data showing that a significant number of Americans believe he is a Muslim or are suspicious about his background. Such doubts were a factor in his poor showing with white, blue-collar voters during his primary battle with Hillary Clinton.
In recent days Mr Obama has — unprompted — brought up the subject of the chain e-mails and blog sites making the false claims. Some state that he is a radical Muslim who was sworn in as a US senator on the Koran; others that he sympathises with Palestinian radicals. Many focus on his middle name of Hussein, which was taken from his Kenyan father.
Referring to the e-mails in a speech last week to AIPAC, the powerful Jewish lobby, Mr Obama said: “They are filled with tall tales and dire warnings about a certain candidate for president and all I want to say is, ‘Let me know if you see this guy named Barack Obama because he sounds pretty scary’.”

I had to laugh at my lib relatives who wouldn’t take my bet that
if Obama was the nominee, the strategy from the Dems would be that if you didn’t vote for him you’re a racist.
It will go something like this:
“There are some elements of our society that won’t vote for Obama because of his skin color”
There are many Muslim theologians who would give you an argument on that statement.
The war room is really about defeating the real issues Obama has - that he is a zero accomplishment, inexperienced leftwing junior Senator with an elitist view of traditional America and radical socialist endorsements and associates.
“Obama is a cynical atheist who, for 20 years, in order to establish a political base, attended a racist church that spewed out hate speech but which calls itself “Christian”. ... He is merely a cynical racist without religious convictions one way or the other.”
We will see if they respond to this. Letters to the editor on the matter wouldn’t hurt..
We have to rally up here and prep for the coming disinformation campaign. Guys like Backhoe and Howlin were on top of the typewriter/wordprocessor scam that undid Dan Rather. We need our own cyberprivate eyes to examine all falsehoods carefully because they could be more sophisticate. Photoshop beware.

All kidding aside, this is a good strategy. The media has always attributed Bush’s lack of response & silence to weakness. Remember during Whitwater & impeachment, Clinton lackies were on every Sunday morning show to deny & berate the conspiracy against him. It would have been different if Bush had dismissed the rumors/lies/innuendo in much the same way. How many times have we wanted to pull out our hair wishing the administration’s side of the story was out there? Hopefully McCain has learned from this.

Propaganda is an art. Even the truth is propaganda. The Obama camp’s quick response team needs the media to support their findings and they will get it. Like Paplov’s dog experiment, the public has been trained to hate everything connected with President Bush and Republicans.
No rumor. Barack Mohammed (since we are no longer to refer to his given middle name) Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic Negro, was given instruction at an early age in the tenets of Islam, while living in Indonesia with his Muslim stepfather and his flower-child mother. The permission to become a Muslim was certainly there. At no time had the young fellow been given ANY instruction in how to be an American, and since achieving adulthood, has not attempted to acquaint himself with the basic knowledge of HOW the various levels of American government operates.
However, he has become VERY good at reciting platitudes and making grand-sounding speeches on how great HE is, but we still have only dimly seen shadows of what agenda he intends to pursue as President. What little we have seen should frighten the cold robbies out of the most blase among us.

Shutting down most of what remains of US industry, by instituting the “carbon cap and trade” auction of rights to pollute. If the alloted number of credits get used up in the course of the year, shutdown is mandatory, or else heavy fines and/or severe prison sentences will be imposed.

Look to where so much of the funding that caused the huge leap to the forefront came from, and the signs will all lead back to the international Soros financial octopus. George Soros had put his money on the Power Couple from Arkansas, but they proved to be unreliable and had built up huge negatives over the years. So to put them out of business, a huge enthusiasm was whipped up for a relative unknown, one on which there would be, at least initially, not much of negative nature that would be revealed too soon.
