Andrews says he heard racist strategy from Clinton camp

U.S. Rep. Rob Andrews, who supported Hillary Clinton throughout the primary season, disclosed he received a phone call shortly before the April 22 Pennsylvania primary from a top member of Clinton's organization and that the caller explicitly discussed a strategy of winning over Jewish voters by exploiting tensions between Jews and African-Americans.

"There have been signals coming out of the Clinton campaign that have racial overtones that indeed disturb me," Andrews said at his campaign headquarters in Cherry Hill Tuesday night after he lost his bid for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination.

I had forgotten about about the NJ Senate primary. Sen LOUSE-enberg easily won the primary over Rob Andrews. I didn’t even know the election was this past Tuesday. I guess Andrews gave up his House seat to challenge the ancient senator. Bad move. So now NJ almost certainly will get another term for the senator who opposes the death penalty for terrorists.

Anyone who thinks politicians don’t very closely look at racial and ethnic make-ups of various areas is quite naive. Of course the clintons and obama are working this angle; though Hillary was quite open about the ‘white vote,’ she was also correct in that she can get it much more easily than Obama. It is sad that saying something that is probably true gets one in so much trouble.
