I had forgotten about about the NJ Senate primary. Sen LOUSE-enberg easily won the primary over Rob Andrews. I didn’t even know the election was this past Tuesday. I guess Andrews gave up his House seat to challenge the ancient senator. Bad move. So now NJ almost certainly will get another term for the senator who opposes the death penalty for terrorists.

Andrews used his wife as a placeholder for his House seat, which she won handily on Tuesday. She will presumably “step aside” and he’ll go back in January. No fuss, no muss. You can imagine what would happen if a Republican did that.
