Toxoplasma gondii is a protozoan parasite which causes toxoplasmosis, considered to be the third leading cause of death attributed to foodborne illness in the United States. While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that over 20% of the U.S. population carries the parasite, the only known reservoir of the infectious form of the parasite (the oocyst) are cats.
1. the third leading cause of death attributed to foodborne illness in the United States
2. the only known reservoir of the infectious form of the parasite (the oocyst) are cats
Therefore:
3. Kill all cats.
After all, isn't it worth it if we can save just one kid's life? Besides, more people die each year from this disease than die from carbon dioxide emissions. Perhaps we should take all the money devoted to CO2 abatement, split it up amongst cat owners, and spend some money that'll really save some lives. And then we could export all that fur to China for them to turn into innovative rabbit coats.

Ok, I have finally given in to the enviros, I think the human species is a blot on the planet and should be eliminated. We should declare a national cool-aid day in which we all drink the poison coolaid and rid the planet of the human species. However, in a show of good faith and to prove they believe in the doctrine they support, all liberals, enviros, marxist and others of their ilk should go first on national TV in order to inspire the rest of us to do our part, nothing like standing by your beliefs in order to win the hearts of the masses.
So, on the 1st of november, 2008 all of the supporters of how rotten the human race is must take their own lives and show us the way. I think barrack obama should be the first to go. After that the rest of us, if we still think humans are so bad, will drink the coolaid. Come on now, get behind this, I am sure you will not be sorry!

"Studies have found that toxoplasmosis is associated with an increased car accident rate, roughly doubling or tripling the chance of an accident relative to uninfected people. This may be due to the slowed reaction times that are associated with infection. "If our data are true then about a million people a year die just because they are infected with toxoplasma," the researcher Jaroslav Flegr told The Guardian. The data shows that the risk decreases with time after infection, but is not due to age. ...
"Other studies suggest that the parasite may influence personality. There are claims of toxoplasma causing antisocial attitudes in men and promiscuity (or even "signs of higher intelligence") in women, and greater susceptibility to schizophrenia and manic depression in all infected persons. ..."

While many believe fresh water runoff contaminated with cat feces is to blame, there is no definitive science on the source of infection. Reminds me of:
While many believe guns are to blame, there is no definitive science on the source of violent crime.
And:
While many believe religion is to blame, there is no definitive science on the source of liberal western society's problems.
And:
While many believe human CO2 emissions are to blame, there is no definitive science on the source of the global temperature increase [if it even exists].
And:
While many believe George W. Bush is to blame, there is no definitive science on the cause of the 9/11 attacks [if they even happened].
'Liberals' are so predictable...
