The strange sound of OBAMA's voice and speech

Posted on 06/04/2008 2:54:18 AM PDT by Ulysse

I did not hear till now about an analysis of OBAMA's stance , created mediatic image and above all his voice and way of speaking.

Probably it has been done somewhere but AS AN EUROPEAN i was struck by the way he speaks like some kind of preachers or populist political leaders reminding us very bad memories. It reminds me some leaders hypnotizing crowds and leading them to real nightmares.

The rythm, the loudness, the tone of his voice beside the repetition of mantras("change","yes we can"...)give a scary impression...

But this it not surprising if he learned from J.WRIGHT

That should read “You mean, kind of like this”.

I had watched streaming video last night of Obama’s speech and it seems the folks there were like zombies.

I have had the same thought. Whereas Jesse Jackson uses jingoisms, Obama uses a series of parallel clauses before he makes his point.

He preaches Hope and Change, words w/nebulous definitions in his case, and in this way his listeners fill in the blanks w/their own interpretations of what he means.

This smoke and mirrors technique follows the methods he used as a community organizer.

He is on record as having said that self-interest is what drives people to follow anyone who espouses his own agenda in seeking power.

Are we thinking about a name that “begins with an H...ends with an R?”

2 : a leader championing the cause of the common people in ancient times — dem·a·gogu·ery \-ˌgä-g(ə-)rē\ noun — dem·a·gogy \-ˌgä-gē, -ˌgä-jē, -ˌgō-jē\ noun

I agree with you...He’s an orator...but the message is government dominance....You can’t drive your SUV or eat whatever you want...very scarey because it’s aimed at you and me...the hard working middle class.

I had the same reaction last night! I was on the Live thread and Obama was concluding his speech with some very loud, rhythmic passages.

Combined with his body motions, I was reminded of Rev Wright and wondered if others were having the same impression. With that in mind I then noticed the zeal of the crowd and the way the stage was set. It was spooky.

[Are we allowed to say “spooky” when talking about Obama?!]

Very observant.

Obama also uses diametrically opposing and incomplete clauses, as well.

Without question, it is purposeful, and it is a proven technique of carnival barkers and hypnotists designed place the pliant "participant" off center, momentarily stunned, so as to more easily make a "suggestion."

He is constantly evoking "State" in the willing, just as Adolf Hitler did and just as dangerously egoistic.

What's good is what's good for Obama, basically.

I doubt winning the presidential nomination of the Democrats has humbled this guy.

What do you think?

There IS something very odd about Hussein’s speech patterns. There are odd pauses, a strange cadence, and exaggerated accenting of syllables. It creeps me to listen to him.

Watch a few videos of Malcomb X, and particularly his interviews, and you will see the model for Obama’s rhetorical style. For all their differences, both men were superficially educated, and readily absorbed notions from crank mentors.

Both believed in “unity.” Malcolm thought that racial solidarity of the blacks was key, and later in his career he wished to enlarge this to a unity of all non-white people, thinking that colored folks would then be a majority, and all would be put right.

We have all heard Obama speak of unity, but there is no unity unless enforced. Obama likes to dismiss objections as “distractions.”

If unity were a solution to the problems of black Americans, their problems should be over: for no major group in American society is politically more monolithic.

In the belief in unity and leadership and (unspecified) innovation, the Obama movement is prototypically fascist.

Humbled? I doubt it. I supsect he is walking around with a sense of deliberation.

Who said this? "By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. "

You are correct. Obama, and the Democrat party, are based on emotion, emotional manipulation. The Republican and Libertarians are more classical, and based upon ideas and reason, confirmed by observation, evidence and history.

Democrats are the female, mommy party. Republican are the male, daddy party. Democrats can't say 'no'. Matter of fact, Obama's campaigned is built around the empty, but meaningless feel-good chant of, "Yes we can.". Republicans (used to be) the party that said no. I think the percentage of people willing to be mislead, remains the same, everywhere. An old, pre-World War II Nazi, said something like, "Power lies like a gun in the street, waiting for someone to pick it up." So too the dumb masses waiting for a political Messiah to lead them.
