Astonishing Obama Video: "I Will Slow Development of Future Combat Systems."

In a strange video address intended to reassure American voters regarding his military bona fides, Senator Obama ends up doing just the opposite. Among other things, he promises to cut "tens of billions of dollars" from the military budget, at a time when our armed forces are already stretched and in need of new weapon technologies and armor; to "cut investments in unproven missile defense systems," which in reality have already proven remarkably effective; that he "will not weaponize space" even though other nations such as China do exactly that; to terminate the Iraq war just as the surge proves remarkably successful; and he rails against what he calls "unnecessary" military spending. He concludes by promising to remove our inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) from what he calls a "hair-trigger alert," embarrassing himself via his ignorance regarding our deliberate targeting and launch protocol. Most alarmingly, Obama literally promises to "slow development of future combat systems." Think about the frightening implications of this pledge. Future combat systems are the cornerstone of American military modernization and superiority. Advanced combat systems provide us with better equipment, unmatched situational awareness and communication systems that result in American battlefield domination. Other nations such as China and Russia constantly seek to match our prowess, but we continue to outpace them.

The article continues, "Imagine previous Presidents promising, as Obama foolishly does, to "slow development of future combat systems." No more stealth aircraft, no more precision-guided weaponry and no more Strategic Defense Initiative that helped end the Cold War. And, no more advanced naval systems that have allowed America to rule the waves for decades. What makes Obama's statement most astonishing is the fact that he already faces an uphill battle to convince voters that he won't be the second coming of Jimmy Carter in undermining our military forces. This is the same Obama that promises to meet the leader of Iran, providing weapons that are killing American troops, without preconditions. He extends the same pledge of unconditional meetings to North Korea, Cuba, Syria and Venezuela. At the very same time he rebufffs Columbia, a critical ally fighting narco-terrorists!" If there are any who still doubt that Obama is a threat to our national security, it's all in the record -- his own words.

Or in other words, “I will slow down our military development to allow everyone us to catch up so we no longer have the edge.”

Listen Republicans. And understand.
That the Islamic Cults, the UnAmerican Democrat Party, Pelosi and Hussein Obama, are out there. They can’t be bargained with. They can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until we are dead

I told you so. This communist will put our very lives in jeopardy. The communist loving lefties of the liberal Marxist's Socialist Peoples Abortion Dimokartic Party of Amerika will destroy this Republic. But, oh, well, 98% of Americans don't care as long as they have free stuff and free medical care and MTV. No worries.

I could have imagined President George McGovern doing that, or President Mikey Dukakis promising to "slow development of future combat systems," but fortunately, the American people had enough sense that we didn't HAVE Presidents McGovern nor Dukakis.
