If I am asked one question by my readers far more frequently than any other, it’s why do so many American Jews insist on aligning themselves with the far left. Believe me, being Jewish myself, it’s the question I most frequently ask myself.
It’s certainly not because Jews are stupid, evil, unpatriotic or dependent on government handouts for their survival, four reasons that certainly explain why millions of my fellow Americans will eagerly line up to vote for any political crackpot so long as he or she is running as a Democrat.
Having given it a great deal of thought, I believe the explanation is to be found in the way we tend to be raised. It’s not so strange if you think about it. After all, most people are Catholics or Protestants, Mormons or Muslims, because that was the religion practiced in their homes. Well, for most Jews, liberal politics played an essential role in their upbringing. It’s why a much higher percentage of us vote for Democrats than attend synagogue regularly or keep kosher.
Furthermore, we are raised to think of ourselves as victims or at least potential victims. Considering the fact that we are often among the best-educated and most successful members of American society, it must seem odd to non-Jews to even imagine such a thing. What is easily overlooked, however, is that when a group of people have been oppressed for thousands of years, the sense of impending doom almost ...

Even though I am not a Jew, I am not sure I agree with that statement. I certainly cannot equate the general attitude of Jewish friends I have, to the general attitude of African-American blacks who also vote heavy DemoRat. A stark difference in many ways between the two groups yet they vote the same (generally).
The few Jews that I have got to know over the years were actually conservative in politics, but liberal in their theology. From what i have I read, Jews overall were very sensative to the civil rights movement of the last century and that has alot to do with their liberal leanings.(1st amend issues, race, etc,).

As a Jew myself, I can say there are many Conservative Republican Jews that have no patience for nor understanding of the politics of Liberal Jews. They have a moronic blindness when it comes to anti-semitic Liberal Democrats. IMO, history is repeating itself. If you doubt that, check this out:

When radical Muslims attempt to repeat Hitler’s tactics, it won’t just be the Jews that are hauled off this time. Radical Islam will be hauling off Christians, Jews, gays, blacks, Hispanics, and anyone else that isn’t a Radical Islamic fanatic. It’s time for the American people, all of them, to open their eyes to this terrifying reality! Liberals spell disaster for America. I have no doubt about that impending doom.
I disagree somewhat with much of the article, but this is very true. It is an example of what Freud called the narcissism of minor difference. Probably the only good idea Freud ever had. Too many Jews spend absurd amounts of time worrying about idiotic issues like a government Christmas tree while ignoring the use of public funds for Islamic interests.
There is virtually no WASP anti-Semitism left in the U.S. But there is plenty of anti-Semitism is in the RAT party that Jews have yet to admit to themselves.

Liberalism disorganizes and weakens American society and Western society in general, and it empowers those individuals and groups that succeed within the context of politicized bureaucracies. Generally speaking, many Jews feel threatened by a strong and cohesive West and, again generally speaking, Jews thrive within politicized bureaucracies. I think a socialistic world government is perceived explicitly or instinctively by many Jews to be the most effective way to prevent another holocaust and to provide for the advancement of Jews and Jewry.
Milton Friedman covered the same ground. Jews see themselves as outsiders, if not victims.
Friedman made the point that Jews always suffered at the hands of big government, of any stripe and always thrive in free markets. No clear thinking Jews would want to substitute government, which is intrinsically coersive, for the operation of free markets.
All the horrors visited on Jews in the past four millenia were at the hands of Big Government. Do they think they can tame it?

This ridiculous mindset has hung around for so long that it has become the institutionalized insult Liberals perpetually cast in the face of anyone whose logic or reasoning is inconsistent with this ritualized idolatry of the ‘downtrodden’, common man, etc. ... never mind how long these same perennial losers have permitted themselves to be exploited, wantonly chosen brutal criminals as leaders and no matter how readily or shamelessly they have habituated themselves to any sort of servitude or degradation for immediate, personal and temporary benefit. It has been said that ‘the common man is to history what sea level is to geography’... only no one has ever said this to a Liberal, that's the problem. They have never figured out how the world works, BUT insist on forcing their gullible world view on everyone else!!!!
I have a former colleague, very well-respected in the financial services industry, who once told me he was a Democrat.
In amazement, I said “YOU are a Democrat?” He walked away laughing saying “Hey, I’m a New York Jew.”
Based on that, it makes no sense whatever that they would be voting Democrat. The Democrats did every thing they possibly could to deny and forestall civil rights reform.

If the vicious anti-Mormon and anti-Catholic venom seen here on FR were directed at the Jews, ( and it certainly could be) I would say, yes, Jews are completely correct to fear some Christians.
Harry Truman. The Democrat President who officially recognized Israel as a country. Jews seem to have blind allegiance to the Democratic party.
You should have responded, “Yes, and you’re a moron being used by Liberals who despise you too.”
