Does Dunkin Donuts really think its customers could mistake Rachael Ray for a terrorist sympathizer? The Canton-based company has abruptly canceled an ad in which the domestic diva wears a scarf that looks like a keffiyeh, a traditional headdress worn by Arab men. more stories like this
Some observers, including ultra-conservative Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin, were so incensed by the ad that there was even talk of a Dunkin Donuts boycott.
The keffiyeh, for the clueless, is the traditional scarf of Arab men that has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad, Malkin yowls in her syndicated column.
Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant and not-so-ignorant fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.

Can I just say that she should fire whatever stylist she used for this photo shoot? She is so much nicer looking than what this outfit “does” for her. Get rid of the cap sleeves and make it look like your arms lost 3 pounds!
And the scarf - could it be tighter around her neck?
I’m glad DD decided to remove the ad. Not only does the scarf make you go, hmmm... but Rachel looking this bad doesn’t make one go - Dunkin Donuts, yummm... either!
My eldest daughter (16) and I just had a hearty laugh thanks to your picture... I’d seen it many times before, but she had not... She said, “Wow, I wouldn’t put that on the top of ice cream I was selling - not because it looks like arabic, but because it looks like a pile of sh!+” ROFL
I hadn’t realized the anti-war crowd had started wearing them. Isn’t that grand.
Your take on it sounds about right. Thanks for the comments.
